Summary: Very Pleased
Review: Sony did a masterful job with this cd walkman. Aesthetically, its elegance is in its simplicity. Very light and flat. Controls are intuitive. The sound is excellent, especially with bass boost. I have no complaints about the earphones, as others seem to in these reviews. Remote control on the headphone cord is great. I have tried all types of music on the 815, and all sound crisp, clear, and certainly loud enough. Comes with AC adapter, rechargeable batteries, and rubbery carrying case with vecro strap which allows you to jog while carrying it. THIS THING WON'T SKIP! Tried tapping it at first, then shook it, then jumped on a trampoline with it...what more can you want? This is a reasonably-priced, beautiful product which I hope to use for many years.

Summary: Best portable CD player you can find at it's price
Review: The Sony Walkman D-EJ815 is the best "Walkman" you can get for the price it holds. I has everything you need and more plus it is virtually "unskipable"(I haven't been able to make it skip). The only thing that makes me upset are the headphones, they feel like they were really badly made although the CD player itself feels like it well made. I plan to buy a really nice pair of headphones. I would definitly buy this CD player. I love it and I haven't even had it for more than a week. The best feature that it has is that the LCD display can be seen in the complete darkness. I think this model is better than the D-EJ915 because it has an LCD on the system itself and the 915 doesn't.

Summary: A VERY GOOD CD PLAYER
Review: This CD Player has everything you need, like a LCD dispay remote control, rechargeable batteries, and unlike the Sony 915 this one has a LCD display on the CD player itself,so if you happen to be in a car that doesn't have a CD player, you can use a cassette to cd player connection kit with no problem. Also you have very long battery life on this cd player and that helps when you go on long trips and dont have the time or the place to recharge the batteries. The only problem I had were the headphones,so I bought the foldable Sony MDR-A34L headphones, they give you more bass response and they sound much more crisp, loud and clear. All in all this is a great buy.

Summary: Greatest Thing Ever
Review: This cd player has virtually everything I've wanted in cd players. The LCD display is incredible - if it's plugged into an AC source the backlighting is always on and it's gorgeous. If it's running off batteries the backlighting stays on for 5 seconds after the last button you press. The lighting is even in the remote.

The G-Protection works remarkably well. I've dropped it off tables and didn't notice at the time (I couldn't see it), I only realized when I turned and found it on the floor. It does skip if you shake it ridiculously hard on its side. While running I couldn't make it skip.

My one and only complaint is that when releasing the lid, it doesn't pop up very much. And that's a trivial complaint.

All in all, a great cd player.

Summary: Greatest Thing Ever
Review: This CD player is the greatest thing I've ever owned. I spent a long time looking around at others, I had owned an older model and when it started skipping when I was walking with it, I knew it was time for a new one. So I researched and researched and finally found that this one was the best buy for the money. Sure, it's a little steep, but trust me, you can shell out a few more bucks for a better value CD player. This one is basically un-skippable. I shook the heck out of this thing and I didn't hear it skip once. The remote is a great asset, it is backlit, as is the LCD on the player itself, and you can access all the features on the main unit from the remote. It's a very easy to use design and is worth paying a few extra dollars. And the case that comes with this thing is excellent. It's a sort of soft leather and it has nice fabric on the inside that's sure to not scratch the player. It's got a handhold on the back so you can hold onto it while joggin, walking... whatever you're doing. And the battery life is amazing. Just have the 2 rechargable batteries in the player, and 4 more AA batteries in the tube-shaped case and you're set! 76 hours of battery life, WOW! That's amazing, really useful for long trips where you won't be able to charge the batteries. All in all, this thing was worth the money I paid for it, about 120 dollars. It's a superior model to other brands, and while some other Sony's might be a little nicer, this one cuts the cake for me, and it's gonna work for a long long time.

Summary: ehm. ehm.. well...
Review: Well, I'm actually really happy with this cd player it's light, slim, looks cool and it also has a long battery life (really long). Only negative thing about this product is it is not really healty ;) I droped it in school on marble a little part of it is broken now but it still works. Anyway it doesn't skip in normal conditions, but if you shake it really hard for a long time it skips a little. In conclusion it worths its money.

Review: Wow! That's the first word that enters my mind as i sit down to write this. The Sony D-EJ815 is a top-quality product. I guarantee even if you initially grimace at paying $140 for a Discman (sorry, CD Walkman) that when you hold this sleek little machine in your hands all your doubts will wash away. The player just feels high-quality. It has an aluminum lid and plastic body, giving it a weight that is light enough to be ignored when you are carrying it, but heavy enough that you aren't afraid you'll break it if you touch it too hard! A glance at the exterior as shown in the Amazon.com photo might lead you to believe that there are few features on this portable due to the apparent dearth of buttons. This is misleading, as I have compared it to similarly priced players from competitors and it has as many, if not more features than their portables do---and I like Sony's stylings a lot better. You've got bass boost, 64-track programming, minidisc link, lots of play modes, volume limiting system (though this is pretty useless if you ask me) and more. All these features along with basics like song selection and volume are accessable on the included remote, handy for just about any time you're listening to a CD. It has an LCD screen, comparable in quality and size to the one on the unit, which by the way is excellent. Both are backlit. As for the sound quality, it seems better than the two year old Sony D-E307CK that I'm replacing. My burned CDs sound cleaner on the new player when using the same set of headphones. Also, a great advantage the 815 has is its rechargable batteries: using my old discman for about 1.5 hours a day, I was going through four AAs a week. No longer. I can uncondtionally recommend this player, if you've got the money to spend. A great purchase.
