Summary: Poor quality sound and construction...
Review: At risk of breaking from the norm, I've had my Sony CD player for several months now, and have some serious misgivings. The version I purchased was a really nice blue shade, and like most other reviews here, I had a similar experience. It looks nice, it plays fine, no pause button, but these are things I can live with. Most of all the price was great.
After several months use the price and color no longer mean anything to me. This is my first Sony CD player and the first to wear out in this short span of time. The headphone jack is poorly constructed and flickers and pops regularly. I even convinced myself that I had mistreated the headphones and bought a new set of (Sony) headphones. The problem persisted and as far as I can tell the source is in the headphone jack. Wiggling and rotating the headphones helps, but I'm not sure how long these will last.
One could argue that I, the user, have misused the device, however I've owned two other Panasonic CD players previously, and both, although more expensive, lasted very nicely before needing to be retired.
Another major problem is the bass. I first assumed this was due to cheap headphones, but even with a brand new pair of very nice headphones (again, Sony) the bass rattled and popped. The highest bass level is really useless if you want any sound quality at all.
Next time I will for sure save up a little money and buy another panasonic. I've not had a complaint over their products as long as I can remember.

Summary: Best Electronic Device I have ever had.
Review: I bought this amazing product about three weeks ago. I previously had a KOSS mp3 player and after a week, and not being able to return it, I threw it away. So then I decided that I did not want a complicated MP3 playback CD-Player that was prone to failure, and I purchased the D-E350 from Best Buy. I have never had a single problem with it. It has amazing sound, very very long battery life, never skips and looks great. It plays all my cd's, including CD-RW's, even badly scratched ones.

Unlike the cheaper cd-players, this one comes with Great Headphones. Not the kind you would expect bundeled with a cd-player. I have been using it for three weeks, and I have only had to change the batteries once. I just can't get over how great a player this is. I HIGHLY recommend this cd-player to EVERYONE!

Summary: Surprisingly good!
Review: I got this CD player for Christmas. In my opinion, it's the best CD player that [a modest amount of money]can buy! Though it lacks an AM/FM radio, it has several features that make it worth buying. Firstly, it has crystal clear sound. This is partially because of the great headphones-they are curiously designed with only one wire rather than two, and they wrap around your ears to ensure that they stay on your head. The only difference between the CD walkman's photo and the actual CD player is the color-it's actually a darker red, but the color will not bother you when you experience the CD player's quality. You are given the choice of two levels of bass, or no bass at all. The CD player has no pause button; you press stop and then play instead. Most find this detail annoying, but I like the fact that you can stop the CD player and play it from where you left off. This CD player has never skipped once-not even when I shook it repeatedly. The design is also neat-it doesn't look like plastic; it looks rather metallic. It's worth every penny!

Summary: ..........
Review: I had my sony cd player for about two years which is the longest any of my cd players have lasted me. It was great I don't ever recall hearing it skip even through softball games and the many times it "slipped" from my hands. The only feature I would add to this cd player is a pause button other than that it was great. For all of you people wondering why it "broke" I was trying to take the paint off with many different solutions and I got some nail polish remover inside the cd player (through the lense area) not smart I know but I got tired of my decorative duct tape on the top. I plan to replace it with another sony cd player of a different color.

Summary: The Best for only $50
Review: I had previously bought a JVC XLPG51. It was good, and still is, but I had a problem with skipping. I looked at other players that had no skipping, but they were expensive. Then I saw this product in a [local] ad. It looked like a good product, and it was under $50, so I bought it.

First of all, there was no problem with skipping. I hit it during play, and it did not skip. Next, there was impressive battery life. I used nearly dead batteries when I first used this unit, and I still got about 2 hours of life. If you use full batteries, you can get 33 hours of life!(that's what Sony says. I haven't used this unit that long.)The headphones are nice, they're not what you expect from a CD player for this much, but they're uncomfortable over time.

Overall, this is very good.

Summary: OK!
Review: I have had this cd player for a while now, It's missing a pause button. This get rather annoying when in my past cd players they have all had them, just wanna reach down to it and find a pause button. Its ok, This is one of the best cd's i have had, but my brother has something for the same quality at less of a prices. Its ok if u want to buy it, maybe a diff. color though.

Summary: Withstands even MY workouts
Review: I have had this model of Sony CD player for about 18 months now,and it is still going strong.Mind you,I workout about three hours a day, very grueling, sweaty workouts, and have had NO problems. The batteries seem to get good mileage.MY CD/RW cds play well. One caveat-the AVS sound protection thing comes on fairly easily-which lowers the volume considerably(which can be a drag during a workout),But I set the hold button at the beginning of my session, and have no problems that way.I have been VERY satisfied with this product, and when it DOES go caput,I will definitely buy another one.

Summary: SonyPortable CD player
Review: I loved this CD player. The sound was sharp and clear. It didn't run out of batteries after two CDs, which is great if you like to play Cds while you're sleeping on an airplane or car trip. I also loved how it never skipped, even when I jogged, so I could jog, and listen to an actual song, not some garble. The colors were awesome, but the controls were a little hard to figure out, enough to confuse me, and it dissapointed AND confused me because it didn't have a pause button. It does have one, but you have to turn it off, and then turn it back on again and it would go on right back to where you were. that was enough for me to get mad, but overall, it's a great CD player

It will skip 4 time's during a Song.I though it might be the musiccd itself so I replace the musiccd. Play it on the cd playerand again it started togive the same trouble.
