Summary: Good value for your money
Review: I've bought this discman primarily for it's car kit - it was a lot cheaper solution for listening CDs in the car, than "real" car CD player. It works perfectly, even on bumpy roads with ESP turned on.

I like to make my own CDs with favourite songs, so I record them all on 1-6x Teac CD-R. Philips has no problems whatsoever with those CDs. Also, I dropped it few times (2-3ft), and though you can clearly see scratches (on the transparent plastic cover), it works fine. Though, it looks pretty fragile, so be careful.

The only problem I've encountered is postion of Next and Previous (or F Fwd and F Bwd) buttons, which are "linked" and very near to Play and Stop buttons. So, instead of skipping the track, you could return it to the beginning, and when you drive, it's not really healthy to look at the CD.

Anyway, price is fine for what you get, and if I had to buy again - I would buy this player. --This text refers to the Blue Blue option.

Summary: Jogproof--that's a joke!
Review: If you plan on using this while running, be forewarned that it skips more than a six-year old girl in pig-tails and braces. Also, every time your foot hits the ground, this CD player creates a strange echo and cracking sound. In short, shell out the extra bucks and buy a better player than this. --This text refers to the Green Green option.

Summary: Good, but not great.
Review: It may sound picky, but this CD player gets an A for performance, but there are 2 major concerns that I've had with it to make it lose that extra star or A+.
1. You have to buy new headsets with it. I've had mine for less than 4 months, and I'm already losing the left channel. They weren't good headsets to begin with, but now they kinda (...).
2. This puppy eats batteries like they grow on trees. I don't mind it so much because I work in place where I can get them for free. It's just that I have noticed, esp when you keep the "Bass" on.
Otherwise, this is a good CD player. I have dropped it a few times, and it hasn't come apart or skipped a beat. It's a good workhorse, and the extras that you get with it are priceless. Just invest in some better headsets and you're in business. --This text refers to the Blue Blue option.

Summary: Dropped Once--No longer works
Review: My daughter purchased this cd player and really liked it because of the jog proof feature. However, she dropped it (just a few feet) and it now longer works at all! Lots of money for nothing!

Summary: This is the best discman I have ever came across!!
Review: Now I know you must of read those bad comments about this discman, however, do you notice they all have one thing in comman? - the owners all dropped them... you really don't expect something to work as designed after you have damaged it!. Anyway, I had this discman for about a year now and so far it has NEVER given me any trouble. It works great and one of the pros is that it displays the battery level all the time which to me is quite good, since you would not want to leave home not knowing where the battery stands - other discmans only display the battery strength when it is really low. Apart from that, the bass is great and the cdplayer doesn't skip (weather the skip protection is on or off). Furthermore, it plays CD-R's outstandingly. I would recommend anyone looking for a great discman to buy this... you won't regret it ...

Summary: Believe the reviews!...
Review: The first CD player I bought (a Sony) I returned back because it skipped constantly. One year later, I decided to try buying another CD player and this time my decision was based on the reviews written. This player is fantastic! Not only does it never skip, but it also stays just where you left off when listening to a CD last (which is a necessary feature when listening to audio books!)! If there was something negative to remark about this product, you could count on it being said here. This player looks and feels great along with having a sensible design for maximum usefulness! I'm grateful for all the comments written upon the experience of having used this product, which is why this review is another one for you! --This text refers to the Green Green option.

Summary: Wonderful 22 hours
Review: The sound on this baby is great and it runs for 22 hours compared to my old one which would only run 6 hours. Great for cross-country trips. The car kit is excellent. GREAT DEAL!!! --This text refers to the Blue Blue option.

Summary: A Great CD Player
Review: This is a great CD Player for a number of reasons.

1 I play bass so with the digital dynamic bass boost I can really hear the bass.

2 I have dropped it a few times and there has never been any damage to it.

3 With the 45 Second Anti Skip you have to really try to get it to skip.

4 With some of my friends CD Players they take a second to go from being paused and to playing but with this CD player it plays instantly.
