Summary: Excellent portable CD player for the car...
Review: I was amazed by the fact that this machine has never skipped, even on really bumpy roads! The sound quality is quite good with its built in xtra bass functionality. The main buttons are placed directly on top and in the middle of the machine making it easy to see them in your peripheral vision while driving. For the price, I couldn't find a better portable CD player for my car.

Summary: DANG THIS THING IS TINY!
Review: I was in search of a good CD player after my old one quit on me so I reviewed alot of brands and came up with Panisoniac. At first I was like OK this is too small to be any good but I took it for a little test with my mountain bike and I rode it across a gravel road over a speed bump and anything else I could find and it didn't skip once even with the anti-skip off! I love music so this is good it puts up with my constant abuse. It is used at least 5 hours a day on average and it hardly ever needs new batteries plus there are these special batteries that you can buy and the player recharges them itself! Because of the price this is a good player for anyone cause you can do whatever you want with it. That is what portable players are for!

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: I've been suffering for years without a CD player in my old Volkswagon. To get around this, I had been making tapes of my favorite CDs to play in the car.

This CD player with the car kit ends that pathetic nonsense. In less than 1 minute you'll be playing your favorite CDs. There's a jack that plugs into your cigarette lighter for power. And the headphone cable plugs right into a cassette that you slip into your casette player.

I've driven about 1000 miles with it now, and it hasn't skipped once, so the the anti-shock really works. The sound quality is excellent, no hissing, etc.. The buttons are well-located, I can operate the CD without looking at it and keep my eyes on the road.

Oh what a difference it has made in my long commute. I should have bought this long ago.

Summary: Great for the price
Review: If you don't have a CD player in your car this is almost perfect. It is small, inexpensive, and for me has worked great for over 4 months of constant use. For the price, the headphones even sound good. All the features described above work great, and I've experienced great battery life, typically using Energizers.

However, there are a couple of things to watch out for. In my car it works perfectly, giving me great sound, clear and noise free with dolby and extended base off. (Honda Accord with standard radio). In other cars I've noticed, the tape mechanism can squeek a bit. Also, there could be a bit of background electronic hum. I guess it depends on the player. I can imagine it is hard to ideally design these for every player. But the sound is still acceptable in my view.

Summary: Overall, not bad
Review: No shock value included here. It's got almost every good thing. ANtishock (but for 40 seconds) and many other accessories. I couldn't give it less because I don't know good enough to give it a low score. So far, what I can say is "enjoy".

Summary: Needs volume!!!!
Review: Okay...this is a very good product. I bought it because I needed a little music while I snowboard, and it had 40-second anti-shock memory. Believe me, the anti-shock works very well. I have taken many hard falls off huge jumps and the thing has never skipped. The fully opening lid is nice as well as the little disc-release button. It also has very good bass and it comes with nice headphones (though I still would recommend buying better ones). But...it does have its drawbacks, first, it doesn't have enought volume for me, which might not be a big problem for you, and second, you have to buy special batteries to be able to recharge it. I mean regular rechargable batteries won't recharge. You have to buy some special battery from Panasonic or something. But otherwise this is a very good product.

Summary: Pretty Good Choice
Review: Only two downsides to this player: the paint scratches easily on the top, and there is no Line-Out jack (so you can't hook it into a stereo system). But sounds is good, it's pretty durable, and has all the basic features - just get real headphones for it, because as usual, they skimp on the stock headphones included.
