Summary: sweet cd player, overpriced
Review: i bought this cd player about a month ago to replace my broken aiwa. it has awesome sound quality, great skip protection, the remote is convenient, the headphones are comforitable, it has long battery life, looks great, works great, the bass is quality, and it's light. my only complaints lie with the volume limiting system and the price. the AVLS isn't adjustable, it just keeps the volume at 3 or lower. I preffer my music loud anyway. the price is a little steep, but if you have 120$ to spend on a portable cd player, i reccomend you buy this one. also, the remote could use an lcd screen, which is on the 815 or 915 or something like that.

Summary: Very Good Sound, Nice design, a great portable CD
Review: I bought this CD player after returning a MZR-DPC Minidisc from Sony. The Minidisc Player did not have enough volume power for my taste. When I compared the sound to this CD player, I decided to keep the CD payer and return the Minidisc.

This Player is well built, very slim and light. The battery life is very good and the rechargeable batteries work as expected. The sound quality is very good, with two bass settings that provide nice bass (although not extraordinary). The headphones are good, and comfortable. Still, I bought the headphones from Sony MDR-G72LP... andthe sound is so much better that you might consider to do this significant investment.

My only complain is the Skip with G-protection. I use the CD player for when I go running and in a pouch located in my back and the player skips all the time. When I take the payer in my hand (using the very nice cover provided with the player) the skipping is gone. Maybe all the CD player skip when located in a pouch?

I highly recommend this product for people willing to get an slim portable with great quality of sound.

Review: I bought this on Ebay for 20 bucks back in July/2003 and it has worked flawlessly ever since & still does! I would have paid full price for this kind of reliability.
It plays all my CD's great and even my recorded CD's. I love this player & definitely recommend to others if this is what they want....I know it's old now and they have many new ones but if you see this for sale used & were considering buying...go for it!

Review: I just bought this CD player and I wanna tell that it has the best sound I ever heard on CD players. This player has very good Street Style(tm) headphones. G-protection(tm) working very good - I didn't have any skipping even when I run. I think this is the best CD player you can buy ... .

Summary: Great portable cd player
Review: I just bought this portable cd player a couple weeks ago and i love it. It has not skipped once, even with shock protection off! I even ran with it. It has good bass, and the battery life is better than any other brand out there. 32 hours. It is very thin and light, and the remote control is extremely handy. THe street style headphones sound ok too. I recommend buying a set of NiMh (nickel metal hydride) You will never have to buy batteries for it again! All you do is plug it in to charge it when your batteries get low, which takes a long time with Nimh batteries. I still dont understand how turning G-protection on makes any difference in the level of skip protection but oh well. It never skips anyway. You should buy this player(or the more expensive model! ) lol

Summary: Just.... WONDERDUL!!!
Review: I love this CD player! I've had it for more than a year until the dreaded day! It happened a few days ago, when I had brought it to school, and let a friend use it because her CD player skipped everytime she took a step. So, knowing that my CD player was capable of being dropped and still not missing a beat of music, I let her borrow it. When she returned it to me... I saw small plastic pieces inside... I looked to find that the round piece that holds the CD in place had broken in half... You could not imagine how saddened I was! It felt like losing a friend! I loved how it could play all my store bought CDs to a level that no other CD player could come to. And most of all, I loved how it could play my collection of burned CDs. This Cd player has never failed to amaze any of my friends...The only thing I don't like about this CD player is the lack of a backlit LCD and a clip for the remote! Might I add, I LOVE THE REMOTE! It's great for those times in class when you can't reach in and bring out a CD player... Instead... You use the remote to control it. I would give this product 10 stars if I could. I'm just sad that it has given up on me... I don't know if I can find another that I will love just the same... *sigh*

Summary: A really cool Sony Walkman
Review: I purchased this walkman for the remote. It was the first type to be relesed and still is quite good. It makes it easy to change from track to track if you keep the CD player in your pocket. It also very rarely skips with the new G protection. I strongly recommend this if you have the money.

Summary: Great value for money
Review: I received this walkman for my twelfth birthday and since then I've been using it non-stop. The G-protection is incredible. I wear it when cycling, running and when I practise gymnastics, I've shaken it, dropped it on the floor, even out a window and it doesn't skip at all. Battery life is good and the sound quality is excellent. The player itself is lightweight, attractive and easy to use. The Remote is a great feature and means I don't have to keep getting it out of my bag when I want to change tracks or adjust the volume. There are a wide range of volume settings: I prefer my music fairly quiet and always keep the AVLS switched on. The headphones I swapped for some of my own: the originals were cheap looking, uncomfortable to wear and I prefer the small, in-ear design. However, this is a small drawback and the CD player's other features make it a product that is great value for money. I never regretted choosing this Walkman, and I would recommend it to anyone else.
