Summary: D-EJ915
Review: I initially purchased the D-EJ715 model, which I returned due to the fact that the g-protection anti jog feature never worked. Despite my best efforts it would consistently skip and jump whilst running. The D-E915 model is a considerable improvement in this area, but it is not perfect.Unless the unit is positioned with the open/close switch perfectly aligned to face upwards the g-protection feature will not work. This wouldn't be a problem, but the unit is almost perfectly round and has a tendency to rotate, and therefore skip. Worst still the carry case that is supplied is basically a cotton bag and is of no use and there is no belt bracket or mounting for one. I finally managed to secure it by buying another carrying case and holding the unit into place by securing the remote/headphone connecting wire. This will likely lead to a loose connection at some point. Not good. All this could have been rectified if Sony had provided the unit with a decent case/belt bracket. I suspect that very few people will actually use this player whilst running so it isn't going to be an issue for most, but this is a simple oversight that I find anoying, especially as it's the only real fault that there is with the unit. From a design point of view the unit is absolute gorgeous. It's almost perfectly round with a brushed finished aluminium lid. It's slightly larger than a CD on all but one side which is raised about 1/3 of an inch out and it's just over 1/2 inch thick. It's weighty without being too heavy - giving it an extremely solid feel. Controls on the unit itself are absolutely minimal and have been pushed out to the edge of the unit, whilst the main controls are all on the remote. It has very little surface detail over that the obligatory Sony and Walkman logos. The resulting look of the main unit is that of a small and sleek silver metal disc. I really love the minimalist styling. To achieve this look compromises have been made. Unlike the D-EJ715 the unit uses custom small rechargeable batteries rather than standard rechargeable AA's. An external AA battery case is provided, but it's basically a cheap plastic tube that hangs off the main unit via its cable and completely destroys the styling of the overall package. Still, it's useful to have at hand should the rechargeable run low whilst you're on the road. The charge time off the included rechargeables is good so this shouldn't happen too often. I've had at least 12hrs off them, possibly more. Another design compromise that has been made is the lack of an LED display on the main unit. The remote is well designed though, with very tactile controls for stopping/playing, track skipping and volume. IMO the above compromises are more than justified as the unit simply looks fantastic. Sound is great, but in all honesty sound is great on pretty much all CD players over $50 nowadays. Certainly, to me it doesn't sound better than the D-EJ715 anyway. The supplied headphones do the job, but aren't great. Base through them feels a little weak. They can be replaced independent of the remote, which is handy as you'll probably want to do this. Overall, it's a superbly stylised piece of consumer electronics, by far the best looking CD player out there. It's well built, mainly due to it's aluminium lid. It's a bit more expensive than other players, but is likely to last longer. I won't be taking this one back.

Summary: Sony super slim discman
Review: I just bought this discman to replace my older sony car discman. So far it is totally amazing. It has a super thin design and a very attractive aluminum case. Very high tech, nice styling, I especially like the back lit remote control. Playtime is amazing at up to 57 hours, with the two included rechargeable batteries. So far it's a great CD player but i've only just got it out the box.

Summary: This cd player is incredible!
Review: I spent several years with an old Koss cd player that..., and watched as my friends got smaller, better, cooler cd players for like 4 years. Finally i decided to get the best looking and sounding one on the market, and i have yet to be disappointed. I put it under heavy regular use, and when i'm not using it its usually squished under my bookbag, and its still awesome. In my school, where if they catch you with one outside of a classroom they confiscate it, the remote is a wonder. It lets me listen to music whenever i want, and turn it off whenever anyone tries to take it, so they never do... its totally dope. Seriously i recommend this to anyone who has the money to dish out on it. That is one problem, it costs mad bills, but if you can score it i swear its worth it, and you save money on batteries too. Review: I think that sony have done a brilliant job of making this cd walkman, since it was my first cd walkman from sony I didn't know what to expect but I did have a problem choosing between the DEJ815 and the DEJ915 because the 815 had the worlds longest playback but the 915 is the worlds smallest. I chose the 915 in the end because of all the reviews i have read about it and was reccomended it by a freind Performance wise , well it was ineffable ( cannot put in words) Everything was better than i expected and the G protection is amazing because i went off roed mountainbiking and the 915 still worked at 30mph off road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I payed full price for this and it is worth every penny. This is the best cd player in the world, buy it and you won't be dissappointed

Summary: Great CD Walkman vs. the 815 model
Review: I was debating for a couple of weeks whether to get this model, the 915 or the 815. I decided to purchase this one for a few extra dollars I could not help myself. One key difference is the 815 has a display on the player itself and this one does not. At first, I thought this was a big deal, but it really wasn't. It's not like you have NO display, that is what the remote is for. And because this one is so small, most of the time it is in your pocket anyway. I think this is the sleekest, nicest looking player around. I knew it would be small but I could barely believe it when I took it out of the package how compact this player really is. The sound quality is rich, and I think the bass is real nice as well. If you can't decide which one to get, get this one, believe me once you take it out of the package and start playing it, you will forget the 815 ever existed.

Summary: Just what you'd expect from a Sony--Style & Quality
Review: It seems all the great product designers are working for Sony. You just don't see the other portables looking anything like this beauty. The thinnest, smallest, and lightest discman in the world with a beautiful aluminum case that is barely bigger than the CD itself. On top of the fabulous styling, the quality of this item is first rate. From the feel of the buttons to the overall finish of the case, this is a real winner. The supplied headphones are cheapy--get your own. And the item is a bit pricey, being close to 200 bones. But it is worth every penny!

Summary: Where's my LCD!
Review: It's definitely the smallest and the sleekest CD player outthere. Though I have some problems with it. There is no LCD display on the actual CD player (only on the remote control) which makes it pain to see what track you're on if you use it for your car or separate speakers. And the interface on the side of the CD are miniscule, whereas a top interface would have be more user friendly. The remote is also clunky; I would expect more from the designers at Sony. I'm guessing that Sony put all the controls and display on the remote to make the player smaller, but if you lose the remote, you're screwed. I regret not getting the Sony DEJ815 CD Walkman. It has a longer playing time (72 min), it [costs less], has the same exact remote control, and has the display and interface the on top of the player. The ONLY difference is that it's slightly bigger, and when I say slightly, I mean barely noticable. So for [less money], you get a much better player, in my opinion.

Summary: Sony D-EJ915 Noticed a problem after 1 year of ownership
Review: Ok, I love this CD-player but I hate the battery life. I purchased this cd player just a little over a year ago and the included rechargeable batteries already seem to be dead. I am unable to get the player to charge the included flat batteries that go inside the player. I am hoping that it is just the rechargeable batteries that are dead and that there is not a more major problem inside the player. The batteries have not even been used very much. On the upside the player seems nicely constructed, I havent had any of the button problems I read in another review. The aluminum lid is a nice touch. The inline remote works great, but the shirt clip is a bit on the weekside. Overall I rate this product a four if it is just the rechargeable batteries that are dead. If its a bigger problem I will rate this product a zero as my last player was a sony and that mysteriously died too.
