Summary: Watch out for Shorts and Electric Shocks
Review: I bought this and used it for a few months and then it started shorting and sending electric shocks through the headphones to my ears...like a lobotomy by discman? Electric shocks to the ears hurt A LOT.DON'T BUY THIS!
I bought a similar Sony model, sucked in again by the small size, and had the same problem. So although it's little, don't get this. Their customer service is unbelievably bad, too.

Summary: As Good as My Last One After 1 Modification
Review: I own an older model as well as this new one: Sony's D-EJ825. I got it on my 17'th (?) birthday and two years later, the mechanism that snaps the lid to the base broke off. Attempts to super-glue it together proved fruitless, so with heavy heart, I looked for the updated model and found this player. I love the little stand that comes with it and the coloring of the unit itself is great because it reminds me of an Apple iBook. So visually, its a top-notch player.
Functionally, its exactly the same as my older model except upon first use, i noticed that it didn't read CD-Text. Although dissapointed, I had a hunch that since the player itself, on the bottom, underneath the "CD-R/RW" certification, read "TEXT," that the capability to read CD-Text may lie with the remote control unit. Sure enough, I switched to my old remote and up came the CD-Text. The only hitch with that is that if you don't already own a previous remote, one of those costs [money amount]from Sony's website. Anyway, great player, all the things of my last beloved one and more, now that it reads text. Buy it. I almost got a mini disc but decided it wasn't worth fooling around with new stuff after I had used and loved my 825 for two years. Seriously, also check out Strong Bad.

Review: This is a very good player. Has good balance for bass, and the treble. The only drawback is the remote is not lighted, but the model above this one does, but the style is not very nice. Check this out!! You will really like it!!
