Summary: Absolutely Exceptional
Review: This CD Player is great! It's very rugged, works well, and looks good. Mine was given to me, but it was worth whoever's money! The bass sounds good, it really will not skip, unless you hit it with an aluminum baseball bat like I did. Just kidding. Seriously, though. This cd player is worth the [price]. The volume nob is easy to reach, the lcd is easy to read, and the 3-function nob is great and sorta fun to use. This CD player will probably outlast my 7-year old Panasonic(which still works, perfectly)...Take this from an audiofile, BUY THIS CD PLAYER. IT's JUST ABOUT THE BEST YOU CAN GET.

Review: This CD player sounds GREAT! It also has wonderful skip protection [accidently dropped it and it didn't even faze this machine].I would advise getting different headphones these kinda hurt your ears, one other problem is it dosent have a hip clip, so you have to hold it in your hand. But other than those small problems this is a great CD player. ENJOY!

Summary: BEST CD PLAYER I'VE EVER HAD!!
Review: this is by far the best CD player I've ever had. there are only three problems I can think of. 1.) There is no pause button.(you just press the "stop" button, and to resume play, press "play". you get used to this after about a week.) 2.)there is no line out plug.(I never use it, so it's not a big problem for me) 3.) the volume knob is in a very awkward place. right behind the control stick. you hit it with your thumb when you change tracks. there is only one major problem for me. the volume knob. even with these problems it is still the best CD player I've ever had.

Review: This is one heck of a cd player rugged too. My old player died and with so many choices this had great reviews and ratings I bought it. Plays great and have used it probably daily and didnt need to change the batteries for a month on the second level my only complaints are the aweful headphones(buy new ones)that are very flimsy and where the shock switch is(right under the cd inside the flap)where you need to open it and remove the cd to change it. On my previous one i had broken off the lid within a week NOT going to happen on this one i've dropped numerous times and it keeps coming back un-harmed. The hand strap is great for running ang biking but is a pain while around the house use. Awesome machine!

Summary: Worth it!
Review: This is such a great cd player - I got this as a present, and I really had wanted the one that looks like this one that comes with a radio, but I just kept it. Today, I decided to see how it played, and boy was I surprised, it plays beautifully! At the beggining it wasn't playing just making weird noises, and it didn't say anything about this in the instruction booklet, after playing around with it for a while I realized the rubber that surrounds the edge had come out so I stuffed it in it's place, and it started working. The battery compartment was made very junkily, it comes off with out even trying to open it. The clasp on the cd player is very nice, but another disappointing thing was that it came with a sound dial as opposed to the digital type. The headphones it comes with are nice but there are better ones out there. Also they arent made that you would only hear the music, if someone's talking you will definitely hear them over the music. Overall it's a really nice cd player, and sounds amazing, though I think the one with radio is a better buy. I definitely recommend it.

Summary: A runner's best choice
Review: This is the 3rd "sports" disc player I've tried this year, and it's by far the best. After running many miles with it -- on trails and on my treadmill -- it has yet to skip. The battery life is great, the thumb-oriented controls are perfectly placed, and the sound quality is more than adequate. My only wishes would be that it had a more "sweat friendly" surface. The metal housing gets pretty slick on hot days. Volume limiting would also be nice, since it's easy to accientally nudge the volume dial while running and give your ears a shock. But overall: If you're a runner, look no further. Sony also makes a version of this player with TV & weather band.

Summary: best piece of audio equiptment I have ever used
Review: this is the best cd player ever. ive gone thru 3 cd players in 2002. the first three couldnt take my kluzness.(i dropped those things alot) well this helps in two ways. 1) it has this AWESOME hand strap, that makes it easy and convenient to get the volume and song selector button (i think thats what its called)and 2) if i was to drop it down the elevator shaft at the sears tower it still wouldnt skip, let alone break. if you need a new cd player, go with this one. its well worth the 50.00 above the other sonys ive seen. and the head phones are awesome. sooo much better than those wraparounds that just dont like my ears.

Summary: READ BELOW FOR EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT THIS CD PLAYER
Review: This is the best CD player I have ever had, and I've gone though at least six. I'll never need to buy another. What has my CD player gone through?

- At crew (rowing) practice, I was standing on the dock listening to my CD player when I fell off into the lake... haha I'm clumsy, what can I say. Of course, the CD player went in with me, and I was so scared it sank to the bottom of the lake. My friend on the dock who helped me up also got my cd player, which had been fully submerged in the lake water, and put it on the dock. When I was fully out of the water, I asked her how she got my cd player out. She exclaimed "IT FLOATED!!!!" and when I reached for it, it was still playing my CD. AMAZING!

- To prove it's skip protection to my cousins in Argentina who are used to expensive CD players skipping, not having the same technology as us, I put the headphones on one of my cousins and proceeded to jump up and down, literally, on this cd player. They looked at me like I was a complete PYSCHO, but were then more amazed that the cd player didn't skip at all!

- I drop this CD player all the time. And it doesn't break.

- The battery life is purely amazing. Remember how I visit my argentinian cousins? Its a six hour drive to the airport and an 11 hour flight. On not new batteries, I have listened to my cd player for those 6 hours, then the 11 hours straight, then listened to my cd player while in argentina for three weeks, then listened to it the whole way back, flight and drive included. And the batteries were still not dead.

Never buy any other CD player. This is IT.

Summary: 2 AA batteries really do last 50+ hours and it NEVER skips!
Review: This is the most awesome CD player I have ever owned for exercising and running. I liked it so much I decided to upgrade to the version with AM/FM radio included. First of all, it really never does skip. On terrain or the treadmill, this walkman will not skip. Also, 2 AA batteries really will last 50+ hours. I've run nearly every day for the past four months and only had to replace the batteries twice. The headphones are a little shabby so I use larger, padded headphones instead. Buy this item - it will be money well spent :)

Summary: The Best!!!
Review: This one by Sony is quite simply the best portable CD player I've ever seen or used. I had always wanted one made with the kind of heavy-duty features that this one comprises. I won't bore you with a lengthy review. You won't be disappointed with this unit. Everything about it is to like.
