Summary: You Know You Want This....
Review: When I began my research for the right MP3 player there were certain things that I wanted it to have:
1) CD capability
2) Upgrades
3) Belt clip
4) AM/FM
5) Long Battery Life
6) Pretty Design (hey im a girl ok)
7) Digital Remote

The IRiver has all this... well almost. It doesnt have a belt clip! To be honest that almost kept me from getting it. I almost got the Rio Volt 'cause it has a clip and everything else but then I got the chance to try it out in a store and it just didnt have the looks or durability that IRiver has.
I can fit over 180 songs on one cd, organize them in files and sort thru them in seconds to play the one I want.
It gives you three power options rechargable, AAx2, or AC plug-in. The rechargables alone lasted me my entire 4 day camping trip since I followed the instructions for optimal power.
Radio comes in crystal clear and lets you set your favorite channels.
IRivers web site gives you upgrades and has a store where you can buy a replacement remote incase (like me) you worry about breaking it.
Ok so it doesnt have a clip but it does come with a little black bag with a draw string so I either let it hang from my wrist cause hey there's no skipping on this guy, or i tuck it into my back pack. The cool thing is you dont even need to touch the actual player because the remote can do it all.
It's also the best looking player ever, and it's so thin and light I dont mind having to hold it now and then.
So the bottom line is: This is the best MP3 Player out there right now, so buy it!

Summary: This is the one
Review: If your looking for a mp3 playing device, stop looking, this is the real deal. The remote is great, but small print for these
old eyes. It's very clear, just small. But the things this
remote can do are great. It can show you all the folder names
or the tracks within the folders. You can change the scan rate
of your fast forward, up to 6 times faster. So if you have a 30
minute track and you want to be at 19 minutes it gets there fast.
It not only remembers where you were on the disc, (very handy for audio books), but if you take disc 1 out and play disc 2 for awhile, when you put disc 1 back in, it remembers where it was!
The time between changing from track 1 to track 2 is zip! So if you have continous music disc (grateful dead, pink floyd, audio books) you get viturally no delay between track. So when I
squeezed "the wall" on one mp3 disc, I get no "pause" between tracks. If your looking for a portable unit, this is it!

Summary: Treat me Gently
Review: The SlimX iMP-350 is great, a wonderful slim sub for a RioVolt 250, but it comes with its drawbacks- for one, the machine is fragile: once I took it out of the box I realized that anything less than "princess" treatment will result damage. Also, the anti-skip is not as hot as it was on my RioVolt 250. All in all it's a worthwhile buy, espeically if your lifestyle isn't overly active, but if you expect to take it to the gym with you- beware.

Summary: The player I've been waiting for
Review: I've been using portable mp3 players since Philips first released the Expanium. I still have it and it still works, but the features are slim. I use the player almost exclusively for audio books on mp3, but I throw music in there occasionally. I had been holding out for a player that was slim, had internal batteries that recharged in the unit and one that had good resume features. The SlimX iMP-350 exceeded my expectations! When I first got it, I upgraded the firmware without a hitch. I have been using my SlimX constantly for the last two weeks. I haven't found a flaw yet, but I continue to be pleasantly surprised with all the features. I question other SlimX reviews about how some people couldn't get the disc to read, to get firmware to install, etc. There is a wide range of skill levels regarding computing, burning cds, etc. Keep that in mind. One totally sweet feature... It remembers where I was on the disc, two discs ago. In other words, I removed a disc, played another, and replaced the disc and it resumed right where I was on that disc! This is the unit to buy.

Summary: SWEET CD PLAYER
Review: I bought this cd player about a month ago and it's without a shout of a doubt, the best damn cd player I have ever used. Not only is it slim, but it plays just about anything. I make Data/MP3 cd's all the time and I can fit about 8 times as many songs on those for about a fraction of the cost of a normal cd. Most people say that the user manual sucks, but I thought it was very helpful to me. This cd player is the nicest piece of hardware I own. I have hundreds of people @ school tell me it's the coolest thing they have ever seen. So, if your a person who listens to a lot of music, will pay about 15.00 dollars more for a product that produces 100% better than what your using, buy the I-RIVER 350 Slim-X, you wont regret it. I haven't.

Summary: A woman CAN figure this thing out!
Review: I just love the iRiver Slim X!! I heard the controls were complex. Yes, I suppose they are....but they are not that difficult to learn. Anyone who can read the instructions and who is not afraid to push buttons can figure this out.

As for the sound...oh my goodness! It sounds incredible. I have very sensitive ears and love good music. The sound of this almost brought tears to my eyes. I know that sounds odd, but some of you out there are affected by music too.

This player has many wonderful features. I especially like the ability to program different songs on your disc and shuffle them. You can also customize the sound to meet your listening preferences. I found the high end volume to be excellent. I couldn't handle it up too loud. (I'm only 31.)

Bottom line....buy this player. The headphones that come with it are okay, but another set would be better.

Summary: Great choice
Review: The SlimX iMP-350 is lightweight, yet solid feeling and well designed. I started out by first upgrading to the latest firmware. This player impressed me right away with it's clever function thru the LCD remote. It takes just a short time to figure out the functions even if only by trial and error. The screen size is adequate, but it could be better if the screen filled a larger area on the remote. The ID3 file info is well displayed and is a must for finding songs easily. The 700MB capacity of a CD-R or CD-RW makes for very inexpensive storage compared to the cost of a memory chip. Each homemade 700MB MP3 CD can hold a very large collection of music (~10+ CDs). Excellent sound quality (I prefer the Metal Eq setting and my own custom Eq setting). This is easily one of my favorite electronic purchases.

Summary: A feature packed CD player but missed something very basic
Review: I have been watching this CD player on Amazon.com for several months. I saw a lot of rev reviews here. Finally I took the plunge. I was very excited when I received the package. It is packed with tons of features. Nothing looked wrong. However, when I get the earphone in, I heard some background noise. I lowered the volume. I still hear the noise. I changed some CD, it is still there. I couldn't hear it for more than a minute. Sorry. I have to return it. For me, it missed the very basic function of a CD player. Nothing else matters. I have to go back to my 10 year old Sony Diskman!

Summary: The iRiver SlimX iMP-350 is the best... almost
Review: Except for maybe the iRiver SlimX iMP-400(newer version of the SlimX product line) coming out in the beginning of November, the iMP-350 is the best.Hope this is helpful:

Build/Design:
First of all the SlimX, despite contradictory reviews, is built very well. The top of the cd player is aluminum, not plastic, and is hinged to the cd player itself with metal bolts rather than the normal plastic hinges.I admit with the rechargable batteries installed in the player its weight is a bit lop sided, but nothing to really complain about. The design seems to also be very well thought out. The buttons on the cd player are located on the side so that they don't accidentally get pushed. I especially like the way they designed the hold buttons, there's a seperate hold button on the remote that operates independently, meaning that you can have either the cd player or the remote on hold and the other will still operate. (Only 16.7 mm thick, and about as big as wide as a CD)

Remote:
The remote is also designed fairly well. It has 3-jog dials 2-buttons and the hold switch. Amazingly, you can control all this cd player's functions easily with the remote. You can also jog through your list of songes by every 10 songs with one dial and go song by song with the other (The scrolling speeds are changable). My only complaint is that the remote could be designed to be more handheld friendly and not so square. Some people might think the remote might be cumbersome(as I did), but it's not; its light weight and hardly noticable.

Functions:
Basically this cd player has every function imaginable, too many to write in this review(Sry). It doesn't skip unless you drop it and the anti-skip power is also changeable. My only real complaint is you can't turn up the volume as loud as some other cd players can, but that can be tweaked slightly by changing the EQ settings.

Overall, if you have the money save up for this one, it's the best on the market.

KuYa~
