Review: I love the quality of the pictures I get with the 6000. I have the DX6340 camera as well and the two of them together are the best electronic purchases I have ever made. The camera is a snap to use, and combine that with this great printer and you've got a match made in heaven. We'd take forever to get a roll of film to the store and then to pick it up would be months and months. By the time we'd get the pictures back, they'd be a year old! Having a printer at home that prints store developed quality pictures is priceless. Plus, I don't have to pay to have a whole roll of film developed, when I really only needed 3 or 4 of the pictures printed to begin with. Very easy to use (set up was 5 minutes), and a snap to clean and change the paper.

Summary: Easy Printing of Digital Camera Pictures
Review: I saw this item for sale in a Staples ad - $199.95, before a $50.00 mail-in rebate. I also had a $30.00 coupon I received from Staples. So I decided to try this out - for $119.95 plus tax, why not?The setup was very easy. Pulled all the parts out of the box, then assembled it, which means filling up the paper tray and hooking the paper tray to the printer dock. Then put in the color cartridge, then plug it in. To print just from the camera, you truly do not ever need to turn on any computer. I placed my Kodak CX6200 digital camera (paid $95.00 for this) onto the dock, and in just a few moments I had a printed picture from the camera. Other reviews about the quality of the pictture are true. It looks like a photo lab-developed picture. I am impressed with it so far. Then I hooked it up to my computer (you install a printer driver on your computer, then you can use it with your computer after you hook it up with a USB cable) and printed a picture that I have on my hard drive. The docking station hooks up to your computer via the USB cable of your camera, so if you do not have a digital camera with a USB cable, you will need to get a USB cable to hook it up to your computer (the docking station does NOT come with its own USB cable). Once again, easy to do, and an excellent result. I used the Kodak EasyShare software that came with my camera to select and print the picture from my computer's hard drive. It comes with a starter kit of 10 pages of Kodak photo paper (to print out 4X6 photos), and one printer cartridge. Evidently you can buy refills that have 40 pages of Kodak photo paper and a printer cartridge for about $25.00. This is how you figure about 62 cents per picture ($25.00 divided by 40 = $.625). So overall, this appears to be a "keeper" for me. The retail price ($199.95) is kind of high - but if you can be patient and wait for another rebate to come out, and/or use a coupon like I did from Staples, then you can get this for quite a bit less. And I believe you will like the quality of the prints.

Summary: Cool little machine!
Review: I wanted a digital camera, but I don't have a computer, nor do I plan on getting one any time soon. Also, I'm lazy, so taking my camera to a store to develope pictures seemed like alot of hassle. So, this little gadget has worked out pretty well for me so far.
I only have 2 bad things to say about it. The first one is about paper loading. Mine seems to not like a full tray of paper. If I load the tray full (but not too full) the printer tells me it's out of paper and to load more. It took a while of hand feeding the pages until I figured this out. To have it feed itself effetively, give it small bites (fill the tray to half).
The other negative thing about it is it may take 90 seconds to print out a picture....unless it's printing out 50-60 pictures (week long vacation). After about the 20th picture it gets a little warm and takes about 4-5 minutes a picture.
So you do the math....5 minutes a picture, 50 pictures, handfeeding the printer....took a couple days to get my pics.

Review: If you have a Kodak digital camera in the CX/DC line - you absolutely must buy this printer. I'm not a professional image editor or photographer, but I can manage to get a very nice print out of my HP5550, using a premium glossy paper and HP's photo print cartridge. The difference is that I can push one button on the Kodak Dock and get a superior quality print with exactly zero effort. Kodak has built in a remarkable array of features - it is very easy to print one, mutliple, or groups of prints. The print cartidge and paper are evenly matched so that when you're out of paper, you're also out of ink (using the color cartidge and photo paper kit). The "lamination step" produces a beautiful glossy image, and the whole process is very fast. Working as a standalone unit, the printer dock uses the camera's LCD to give you options for printing, while simultaneously charging the camera's batteries (NiMH or Li Ion). The dock will also link to a computer via the same USB connector provided with the camera (We've used a DX6490 and CX 6330 with this printer). The Kodak software installs nicely and works in conjunction with the EasyShare software to enable the same range of printing options that the one-touch feature on the printer dock provides. You can also hook the printer up to a TV and run a slide show, although I'm not sure why I would want to do this. The Dock takes a fair amount of working room - the prints load in a tray in the front and then project out the back as the red/green/blue/laminate passes are made. Consequently, you need a fair amount of space both in front of and behind the printer dock. Still - it's a lot less room than my HP5550 takes up. We were up and running with the dock in about 10 minutes. The cartidge is easily loaded, the paper is easily loaded, and the operation is dead simple. I just can't find anything wrong with this product! Kodak has managed to floor me again!

Summary: Excellent Instant Pictures
Review: If you want excellent INSTANT pictures, get this printer dock.
It is great for parties and traveling. You can share your pictures with families and friends. I recommend using the highest pixel resolution. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER to take excellent pictures. If you have a new born, this printer dock and Kodak's 6490 camera is a must. You really do get professional printed pictures like you would from any drug store or 1 hour photo developer WITHOUT THE WAIT!

Review: Kodak cx6330 camera was given to me by my family as a Christmas gift. It stopped working after using it three times. At first I thought it was the battery, but after charging it all night the camera still didn't work. Bought a new battery ($14.00), charged it and still the camera did not work. After emailing the Kodak center I was told that the camera needed to be returned.

Summary: Good quality, and very good for the novice, but pricy
Review: My father decided he needed a digital camera. So, we needed to decide what to buy. We picked the Kodak 6340 and this docking station. Why? My father computer abilities are AOL and not much more, so I wanted him to buy something simple and easy to use. I had shown him how to print pictures on his HP printer, but that hasn't really worked out. For printing:
When you plug the camera into the docking station, it automatically turns on the LCD on the camera. From the LCD, you can select using button on the docking station which photos you want to print and then you just hit the print button. You can print individual pictures or index prints of everything loaded on the camera. You can also print from Kodak's EasyShare software. No configuration other than picking the pictures and printer is required. Loading the paper is just like loading a photocopier. You pull out a tray, and place the photopaper right in. Again very easy to use. However, you need special paper for this printer. It will not use non-Kodak photopaper. The photopaper is sold with the ink. Paper/ink for 40 photos run $25. Very expensive!!! You can however print your photos with no computer, so it might also make sense for those want to print the camera with them and print photos while traveling. Photo quality seems excellent. I recently bought a Canon i950 and this little printer seems to do just as well, if not better. For syncing your pictures to the computer
The docking station with Kodak software is really easy to use. 1 button syncs your pictures/video automatically to the computer. It also charger your camera. A rechargeable Ni-MH battery is included and fits the 6340 camera or other Kodak cameras compatible with the docking station. So, very easy to use, but very expensive. I'd say its great novice computer/electronic users, but for others there are many cheaper and better alternatives.

Summary: Worth every penny (and that's a lot of pennies!)
Review: My husband and I just picked up the Kodak Easy Share 6340 camera and really enjoyed its ease of use to send photos via email. I found this printer dock and was really interested in it, but was leery about the quality of the photos. We went to a store nearby where they had sample paper available with the camera. I was really amazed at the qualiy- they are most definitely comparable to store-developed photos. So we picked this up and brought it home.
Setup is a breeze. I only had to take a peripheral look at the setup instructions, and it was up and ready to print within 5 minutes. I just snapped the camera into the dock and it automatically selected the first available photo and asked if I wanted to print it. I scrolled through until I found the photo I wanted and pressed the "print" button.
The printer feeds the first page through and prints one color on the page at a time: first yellows, then reds, and finally blues. Once it has been fed through those three times, the paper goes back into the printer; I assume this is to finish the surface or something. Tear off the extra paper with the perforated edges and you have a photo-store quality photo.
This is a rather expensive item, but my husband and I are HORRIBLE about getting film developed. Having a 2-year-old daughter, we are not exactly winning any points in the family's eyes since we have very few photos available to show or give to anyone. Now we can just print the photos we like to keep or give to friends and family.
What is helpful about this printer as opposed to using the photo setting of a standard printer are two factors: it's small and easy to take on a trip if need be, and the paper comes with a cartridge. When you have used up all the paper, the cartridge is empty too; no more printing and having the ink give out halfway through your project.
All in all, an excellent product, especially if you are like me and seem to be unable to find your way to a photo developing place!

Review: Purchased CX6330 camera and printer dock. Couldn't get it to dock, so called Kodak Company. They finally suggested we take it to local store to explain how to get it to dock. Took to the store and there was something wrong in way printer dock was manufacured. Having to return it for refund. Camera takes excellent pictures.
