Summary: Driver Conflict Problems
Review: A fine product, as long as you do not try to attach it to your PC, especially (if like mine) you have several other USB driven devices. Apparently HP has had a problem with "mass storage driver" conflicts with its Photosmart line for at least two years now, and customer support for resolving them is laughable: the problem is always the other item, not their printer. Of particular note is the GoBack program that comes packaged with Norton Systemworks - HP hates it and crashes your system. It also has problems with CDRW devices. After 10 days of frustration, I gave up an returned it to them. I am still looking for a small photo printer I can use as a dedicated device that does NOT conflict with rest of my hardware & software.

Summary: a great find
Review: After extensive research for my one printer to buy, i was down to the hp 130 and the hp 7350, the 130 won me over un like the 1302 little brother(100) it has a much better dpi, this printer is great, it prints 4:6 like it came out of a print shop, one con is ink, the 57 ink cartridge mixes all its colors to make black so it runs out fast if you were to make night pictures frequently, i highly recomend this printer

Summary: Good Printer for the Price
Review: Considering that this is an older model from HP (HP discontinued this model and suggest to buy Photosmart 145 as an alternative), this is a good printer. It does pretty well what it promises to do - print quality 4x6 photos. The printer is easy to set up and easy to use. It accepts different types of digital memory cards and is pretty fast in printing - less than 30 seconds to print one photo. The quality of the prints is as good as regular camera prints - your friends wouldn't tell the difference unless you tell them. The one inconvenience with this printer is the non-availability of print preview facility on the printer - you have to note down the serial number of the image (by viewing on the camera) before inserting the digital memory card into the printer. Overall, this is a good printer for the price you get it.

Summary: Great little printer
Review: Don't let the size of this printer fool you. This printer delivers excellent print quality, being able to print borderless 4x6 prints is a great feature. One of the greatest feature is being able to print on the road without a computer directly from a memory card, it also supports 4 memory card formats.

Summary: the best little photo printer for your money
Review: First, the good news: HP supports this printer, so you can get paper and ink for many years to come. And it prints borderless 4x6 prints in a matter of seconds.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of bad news about this printer. First, the color tone is poor. Second, the drivers are not fully XP compatible, which caused some instability for me. Third, the card reader is virtually worthless. It can take an hour just to read DPOF prints. Four, the per-print cost is moderately high.

For the same money, buy the vastly superior Hi-Touch Imaging dye-sub printers, which produce better prints at a lower cost per-print.

Summary: Excellent
Review: For 4 x 6 photos, this printer rocks. It isn't too noisy, a little slow but tolerable, and prints photographic quality on photo paper. It accepts compact flash and other cards. A PC isn't required but can be connected if desired. The colors are rich and vibrant however you may need to let the ink dry properly so separate them and don't stack them. There isn't a output tray...it outputs on top of the input tray so you'll have to grab the printouts as the eject. It's small enough to travel with your digital camera but you'll need access to an A/C outlet. It isn't perfect, but for those who want a quick hardcopy of their digital photos while travelling, this is well worth it.

Summary: PhotoSmart 130
Review: HP has done it again! This little baby is, by far, the nicest printing product offered. Forget the 230 and its LCD screen. This one will do the same thing .... The menu system is foolproof and the photo quality output is beyond approach. While it's limited to 5x7 output, it's perfect for the average photographic need. Combined with the Sony DSC-S85 (or 75), you have a perfect combination to get top quality prints quickly and effortlessly. And, by the way, it reads all existing media cards and you don't even need a PC to use it (although it's USB-compatible and comes with the necessary PC software).

Summary: Happy to be suprised.
Review: I bought this because I was tired of having to take a disk in to be developed and constantly second guessing how many copies I really needed. When I have to pay .63 - 1.00 per copy I become extremely conservative. I did use a few online services where you upload your pictures and order copies and it is easy (though time consuming) and cheaper, but you cannot get them in less than a couple days. And occasionally some images in my photos were cut off; the photo did not match the picture I previewed online. They are very nice about it and you do get a refund but you are back where you started, you still need to get them printed.

The sample pictures displayed for the HP looked great and I was assured they were great. However I had previously purchased another printer also based on samples and the sales person's assurances. Well at least that one works well for general printing. I guess lessons fade after a couple of years because I decided to give this one a shot and I am pleased to say I am so happy I did. The pictures look GREAT and I can print whatever and whenever I want. I love this printer, the quality of my prints and the convenience of printing when I want.
