Summary: I love this printer
Review: this printer is the best one I have ever owned.. I was oh so excited upon setting it to find out that HP gives you the color ink and the photo ink! Also the features are great! They have a slot just for 4x6 photos and another one for envelops! The quality of the printed picture is hard to match with compariable printers. If you do a lot of digital photos and printer this is a must have.

Summary: Great printer if you don't mind waiting
Review: This printer is very slow....even on normal documents with the black ink cartridge and on normal settings. However, the photos do come out amazing! The only problem I've had with it is that it says it doesn't recognize the "left ink cartridge" and the printer tells me to replace it even though it's brand new and an HP brand #57 cartridge. I've done everything to fix the problem including buying another cartridge and it still doesn't work. I ended up just taking out the color cartridge and printing with the photo one which is a waste, but oh well.

Summary: Great photo printer
Review: This printer produces astonishing photo-quality prints when using the optional photo-ink cartridge. Print time is appreciably low and color reproduction is astoundingly good. I especially like 4x6 borderless, color prints!! It's also quiet compared to my old Epson 777 -- a printer that would guzzle ink and wake up family members when turned on.

The SmartMEDIA receptacle was another plus for me. While it's not too much trouble to plug my digital camera into the computer, I kind of liked not having to do this.

The only down points:
* Printing really good color photos requires changing out the black ink cartridge; vice-versa for everyday printing. A minor inconvenience, but still an inconvenience -- a third cartridge receptacle would be nice so as to leave the user a little more hands-free!
* You have to load the paper "just so." There's not too much room for "play"; you have to make sure that paper is firmly placed in the tray or there may be a misfeed. That's one advantage that I could say I had with the Epson -- loading paper was gravity-fed, not horizontal. However, I have not experienced problems as stated in the negative reviews after the 1st day I got the printer.

Summary: Beautiful pictures
Review: This printer worked fine right out the box. Set up, installation of software was breeze. No problem with it working with my operating system XP. My pictures that I scanned and printed came out beautiful. It really did look like they were done by a professional.

(sorry) my only problem with it was that after two weeks, I had to replace the #58 print cartridge, as I believe that--that cartridge was probably a demo, otherwise everything else was just fine. BTW I did find a great price (wont mention the site here however,)for both my replaced color and my new black cartridge. Look around, great prices are out there.
Enjoy printing. :)

Summary: 7350 Highs and Lows
Review: We bought the HP 7350 Photosmart Printer at Christmas. It looks great and is, mercifully, quiet. It doesn't click and "whirr" like the other, cheaper printers we have. Front card slots make it a stand alone product, but you lose some control over the prints. Generally the Printer looks and feels professional.
We get fast prints on lower resolutions. Very fast. Occasional printing gives good, vibrant colours on affordable photos. Under Windows XP Professional, printing, and the software control options, have been generally reliable, though not cheap. We had problems with earlier Windows and USB versions. If the 7350 went offline, we couldn't get it back without a hard reset. It's all fine until you use it every day, and, a lot. Running costs are high. And now, it's started printing in pink. So it's OK for the occasional home user. Don't rely on any ink-jet printer for business. Running costs, and hassle, have consigned our 7350 to the kids' room. It just proves that pre-printed documents are better, cheaper, and more reliable than using ink-jets. Any time. Our 7350 is a smart, occasional, photo-printer, excellent for fast text prints. That's all.

Summary: What's with the paper jams?
Review: We bought this printer to print out a large number of invitations for a party we were having. It worked great! It was quiet, went fairly quick, and didn't give us any trouble. It seems to be great quality, although we haven't tried printing and photos.

Recently though, we have getting papers jams ALL THE TIME! This printer CONSTANTLY picks up more than one sheet causing a paper jam and a BIG hassle. Believe me, we have tried many different varieties of paper but it keeps jamming!

I have no idea how to fix this, but it's becoming a big hassle!

Summary: Excellent Pictures
Review: We just got our first digital camera and coincidentally our printer died so we bought this for both pictures and work. We are extremely happy with the quality of the pictures along with the disk which is very user friendly. My only complaint is that when using the printer for printing normal documents, it's a little slower than I expected it to be. But for digital pictures, we are very impressed with the quality and the price. Only other downside as is with all of them is the cost of the toners but that's where they get you!

Summary: Great printer
Review: We love this printer, it does everything! The 4x6 tray is great and you can print very easy from the media cards or from the printer either on is very easy. Took no time to set up and use every aspect of this printer with no trouble. We have printed hundreds of pictures and they all look like they came from a photo store. Cost saving have been good as well as you can get ink refills for cartridges and generic photo paper very cheap. So easy to edit pics on your PC then send them right to the printer for flawless printing every time!!!!! Best printer we have ever seen.

Summary: Fantastic Printer
Review: When I bought a new computer and new software, I didn't really think about my old printer not being able to "keep up." (I also had an old scanner that was not Windows XP compatible and had to buy a new scanner.) I print a lot of photos, both b/w and color, and after scanning in a few photos and printing these, I discovered that I now needed a new printer. The new scanner was scanning at higher resolutions that my old printer could not handle. I have always liked HP printers and decided to buy the HP Photosmart 7550. However, a magazine article I read stated that the 7350 printed just as well as the 7550 and the 7350 cost $150 less. Needless to say I bought the Photosmart 7350. It was one of the best decisions I have made.

This printer does a phenomenal job printing photos, both black and white and color. It does a great job with anything you ask it to print, photos, graphics, or text, and the colors are very true to the original. There are a few drawbacks I have found thus far: 1) it is not a speedy printer. For example, I recently had to print a two-sided, legal size flyer. The flyer had a color photograph, color graphics and text on one side and straight text on the other side. I printed 200 copies and it took 5 hours to do the job (1.5 pages every minute). I had the print quality set at `Normal.' When I set it to `Best', it took almost twice as long to print one page. The `Best' setting obviously gave the better looking results but for the flyer I was doing, the `Normal' setting was fine. For the photos I print I always use the `Best' setting; 2) it only holds two print cartridges at a time so you have to switch between the photo and black ink cartridges, depending on what you're printing. The printer does not come with a black ink cartridge although, according to the instruction manual, you don't need a black ink cartridge. Buying a black ink cartridge is more economical if you print a lot of regular documents; and, 3) the 7550 has an LCD screen for previewing pictures, the 7350 does not. I don't consider this a necessity but some people might. All-in-all you have to consider what your top priority is as far as printer specifications are concerned. My first priority is quality of print, speed is secondary. Therefore, the length of time it takes to print something out is not an issue for me.

Something else to consider is the software and scanner you have; they do make a difference. If you do a lot of photos then definitely get some good image editing software. The software will improve the photos you will print, particularly if you plan to print older or damaged photos.

As a final note, the Photosmart 7350 does have memory-card slots located on the front panel - CompactFlash/IBM Microdrive, MultiMediaCard/Secure Digital, Memory Stick, and SmartMedia. It also has a digital camera port located on the front that you can use to print photos directly from your camera; you don't have to use your computer.
