Summary: Great Printer
Review: Interesting ratings. Obvisouly a couple of malcontents. I had low expectations for the printer and bought it so I could have a color printer to print out a few business type sheets now and then, didn't have a need for the photo stuff. But we first tested the photo capability and I was astounded. They are that good. Of course the photos are 4 megs but the output is supberb, even at 8.5 x 11. Great printer great buy.

Summary: Photo Printer Exclusively
Review: Our family purchased this printer exclusively for photos. We have a 4 MP camera and the photos look professionally produced.

We find that it is easy to use; however, to our disappointment, it does not produce true borderless prints. Photos emerge with 3 sides borderless and the 4th trailing side must be cropped with a paper cutter to remove a 3/8-inch white border. This was not made clear on the packaging nor on any reviews that I had read.

We have also experienced paper jams that other people have mentioned, ironically, only with the HP brand photo paper and not with the Ritz photo paper we were given when we purchase our camera.

Given the price of the replacement cartridges and paper (Consumer Reports estimated the price per 8 1/2x11 page to be $1.10); we will do the majority of our printing at [a store]. The printer will be used for convenience and fun.

Summary: Slow, ... painful
Review: Sure, buy this printer, if you want to spend hours and dollar$$ to get the quality of prints from your digital camera that almost match the quality of prints from [a] one-time use Kodak camera available at any grocery store.

And don't expect to use it with your computer - the only use for this printer is to plug in a memory card, print an index sheet, and then print those expen$$ive sheets.

Don't waste your time or money.

Summary: Not worth the money )$148.00
Review: The problem I have is the faces being rather fuzzy. Have tried everything to correct it , have not figured out how or if it can be done.
Its very easy to use, if only I could get clearer pictures!

Summary: Quiet, easy to use - and the photos look fantastic!
Review: There is so much to recommend about the HP 7350. Printing is extremely quiet and professional in appearance. You have the option of either hooking it up to your PC or Mac (USB cable must be purchased separately) or operating it as an independent unit by simply inserting your smart card into the slot on the front. If you want to print 4x6's, there is a separate tray/slot for this size of paper. The controls have a nice feel, and the screen displaying the options is angled up slightly, making it easy to read for most people. You can print out an "index" or proof sheet of the photos on your card for preview.

The unit comes with 57(color) and 58(photo) cartridges that are about 1/3 full. If you want to use this as a regular ink jet as well, you'll have to buy a #56 black ink cartridge. It also comes with a few sheets of glossy photo paper to get you started.

The photos that come out of this printer look as though they were professional printed, with high resolution (of course, the resolution of your digital camera has a lot to do with this) and a clean look. The printing itself is rather slow, especially if you are used to a laser printer as I am, but the results are well worth it.

I highly recommend this printer to anyone with a digital camera. You won't regret it.

Summary: Awesome Printer, Awesome Price
Review: This is a great printer and an even better price. Photos printed on 4 by 6 photo paper look like they came from the developer. Printing directly from your memory cards is a big plus too. Highly recommended.

Summary: This is great!
Review: This is the first photo printer that I have purchased and I am impressed with the ease of the 4x6 printing capabilities and the quality of the photos.

Summary: HP Photosmart 7350 Poor Quality
Review: This is the third HP Photosmart 7350 printer I have gotten. The first printer had a problem with the Cartridge Station. It kept getting stuck. The 2nd & 3rd printer smudged the top of printed photos that were fed thru the 4 X 6 slot. This smudge only occurred when selecting the '4 X 6 Borderless' formatting options. The only thing consistent about the HP 7350's I have had so far is the smudge! And there seems to be no real borderless printing with the HP 7350 that I can tell. The printer is quite slow, even when printing black & white text. My HP 5550 printer is far superior in this regard. HP e-mail technical support was not extremely helpful. Phone support is not a toll free number and you have to wait at least 20 minutes for assistance off-hours).The poor workmanship of this machine has definitely been a big disappointment. I now have to return it again to the store for another printer. In the past, I have had very solid HP printers. I doubt I will buy another HP printer again.

January - Just an update on my fourth HP 7350. I finally got one that works. The two printers I got with the defect on printing with the 4 X 6 borderless option were both manufactured in July 2002. This must have been a defective batch. My last HP 7350 was manufactured in September and worked well. It even did true borderless printing which the first 3 did not. I am still dissatisfied with the overall reliability of the new HP printers but at least I finally got a printer that works!

Summary: Slower than a dial-up modem
Review: This is without a doubt, the worst printer I have ever purchased. I bought this one to use on my HP computer, as I use a Photosmart 1115 with my Power Mac G4 and it is excellent. I figgured the extra inking would be better on the PC. WRONG. So I tried it on the Mac, it is SLOWER. It runs about 1 page per minute and a half. A color photo takes 5 minutes, and this is a small 4x6 print. I'll keep the 1115. It has better photo quality also. AND, the smart card reader is also slow. The 1115 reads the same photos in 1/10 th the time. I will never recommend this printer to anyone.
