Summary: Incredible!
Review: I purchased the i950 based on th emany positive reviews I have read. After printing my first photos my reaction was the same as many others. These prints are unbelievably good, better than the typical photo lab. Using the canon paper there is absolutely no banding, no pixelization, etc. Even the gloss looks and feels as if it came from the photo lab. The color is even better. Enlargements (8.5 x 11) also look awesome.

Results not as good with other photo papers but shop around on-line and you will find that the Canon pro paper is no more expensive than any other quality paper.

I brought some of my prints into work and now feel like a Canon sales rep. Two of my colleagues have gone out and purchased this very printer. I can be pretty picky and will often return electronic products that do not meet my expectations. This is one of those rare products where even if I had paid twice what I did I would still be delighted. For [this price] it is a steal.

I can not comment on text or other graphics. I use this exclusively as a photo printer.

Summary: Now I am happy!
Review: My husband decided it was time to go digital when our 35mm camera stopped working. Thats fine I said but I must have a way to print, I love photo albums and framed pictures. Well a year later we have 6 CDs filled with pictures and not one of them printed. I tried taking the CD to photo places but the cost was out of this world and they usually messed something up. I tried to shop for printers at local stores but no one would give me samples.
So online I went and I read and read and came to the conclusion that the Cannon i950 was the best out there. I was right. Set up was a breeze, it took me longer to find a spce for it than it did to install. (A USB cable would have been a nice touch!) The images are clean and crisp, very happy with 4"x6", 5"x7" and 8"x11" no loss in quality. The prints are boarderless which makes things easy. The one feature I would have liked to see is a roll feed with a cutter but I am not unhappy without it.
The ink is lasting better than I thought, I have run about 40 4"x6" prints and we are still doing fine. I use Adboe photshop to edit photos then save them and print from the cannon software. Its an extra step but the cannon easyprint software is very clear and concise. Now I just need to find an affordable source for the cannon paper where shipping does not cost more than the product!
I would recomend this printer with out a doubt.

Summary: canon i950
Review: This a very good printer. I was printing using a few left over papers from my old epson printer and the results are incredible. Tried sample canon paper pro came with the machine and result is amazing too. Also, the most important, the software comes with the machine is really enough for simple photo editing. So far, I just have to do the crop, print, and finish. enjoy....

Summary: Remarkable Printing out of this Canon i950!
Review: I read about 100 reviews before settling on the Canon i950. I am so happy with this printer! I switched from the Lexmark Z51 and Z52 to this and the color out of this machine is fantastic. I printed some of my digital pictures on 4x6 photo paper (5 sheets included as a sample) and I took them to work. People were amazed when I told them I had printed them at home! They look absolutely like they came straight from a print lab.
Some specifics - The machine has 6 separate ink tanks, one for each color. The replacement cartridges are rather inexpensive, especially if you look out at eBay. You'll need a USB cable to hook this up. I purchased the Belkin ... I had no problems setting up the drivers or the machine itself, everything is spelled out for you on a single sheet. The machine is whisper quiet compared to my previous printers. I highly recommend this printer!!

Summary: Great Photo Printer
Review: This is a great quality printer that is pretty simple to use. I have used it to create digital photo albums, and people who look at it have a hard time telling if the pictures were printed or developed by a professional. The quality is much better on photo paper than on regular or high-quality paper, so the extra money for the photo paper is definitely worth it!!

Summary: easy to use. amazing results.
Review: I received a digital camera (Nikon 4300 which I like) for x-mas, but didn't buy a printer right away. My friends' photo printers were okay, but I really wanted to be able to get prints that looked as good as from a lab.

The i950 is impressive. Setup was very easy on my XP machine. In less than half an hour, I took the printer from the box, set it up, did some tests, then printed some photos that blew me away. 8 1/2 x 11 and 4 x 6 prints were very impressive. No graininess, beautiful colors, all this with no editing at all. The printer driver is incredibly easy to use. Simply select the photos you want to print, choose the type and size of paper, select a layout, and that's it. No complicated settings.

The Canon paper is key. Photo Paper Plus is good. Photo Paper Pro is slightly better, but so far I have not seen good results with any non-Canon paper.

Anyway, if you want a great photo printer, this is the one. 2 picoliter droplets and 6 color tanks are an awesome combination.

Summary: Best Photo Printer!
Review: This is truly an amazing photo printer. I have had it for about a month now, and find that the prints I produce are indistinguishable from normal photos. I have used both the Canon Photo Paper Pro, and the much less expensive Photo Paper Plus; the Plus is just fine, and I at least can't tell the difference b/n the two. I have the printer hooked up to my Mac, and it works fantastic. The first couple of photos came out a bit darker than they appeared on the screen, but that was easily fixed. The printer is so quiet I can't tell when it's actually working! Also, the speed is a major factor if you have 20-30 photos to print; about 30 seconds per 4x6 inch print. Printer works well with iPhoto 2. It's nice and compact, and looks good. Really can't see how they can do any better than this...

Summary: I am a believer
Review: I did a lot of homework on this one and reluctantly decided on going with the i950 (mostly based on professional and armature reviews: Almost everyone gives the i950 the highest marks). I was skeptical of getting another Canon because I have had a lot of trouble with my S400. Now I am a believer. This is an excellent printer. Other reviewers were not joking when they said that you would not be able to distinguish photo lab prints from Canon i950 prints. It is as good as advertised. All the bugs seem to be worked out in the i950. I give this printer my highest recommendation. Kudos to Canon.

Summary: **Great Photo Printer**
Review: I am a hobby photographer who just switched to digital. I am using the Canon G3 and I just received the Canon i950 today. I could not believe the quality prints from this printer. The Canon G3 is 4 mega pixel camera and I cannot see any pixelation or noise in the prints. The prints are 5x7 and 8x10 and they are incredible. Even looking up very close and from different angles you can only see smooth colorization.
I would not hesitate in recommending this printer and in saying it is as close to a photo labs work that I have ever seen (at least from a printer).

Summary: WOW Photo Lab Quality
Review: Just purchased the i950 yesterday from FRY's, I've spent a lot of time researching photo printers, and I'm glad I waited for Canon to release this one. After about 15min's my printer was set up and working. Printed my first picture on the supplied 4x6 photo pro paper, at first I thought it wasn't working(Couldn't hear the usual noises),after approx. 55 seconds I saw the picture coming out in the tray. Truly amazed with the quality and sharpness. I bought a FujiFinepix S602 just before Christmas and had pictures developed at the local camera shops quick prints. The Canon i950's prints look much better.
If you need a photo printer Run don't Walk to your nearest electronic or computer store and BUY ONE!
