Summary: PAPER WEIGHT
Review: This printer is little more than a paper weight. The money you save by having a printer/scanner combo, you spend in paper and ink cartridges. I can honestly say this because there isn't a time when it will not get jammed and continue using ink, even when the paper isn't feeding properly. So the next sheet or two of paper you run through your printer will come out with excess ink all over it. It is also very frustating, that it has trouble feeding paper, it either refuses to take any paper, or instead of just 1 sheet it will feed as many as 5 at once and cause the printer to jam.

Summary: Bad Machine
Review: Very bad machine. No work good. No program very easy. Lose prgram. Uses more ink than other brands. Need computer on to copy. Finally got fed up. Throw on floor and into garbage can. Buy better brand than Lexmark. Can see why Lexmark has low price...No good.

Summary: Mediocre at Best
Review: You can't get a better 3-in-1 printer/scanner/copier for this price. Of course, you can most definitely get a better 3-in-1 if you're willing to pay just a bit more. The Lexmark x75 is as mediocre as they come. The print resolution is sufficient for text documents, but less than good for graphics and pictures. The same can be said for the scanner function. On the plus side, the copier (copies in color and b&w) can operate independently from the PC at the push of a button. The older models require you to operate all the functions (print/scan/copy) through your PC, which means that you'd need to turn on your computer just to make a quick copy.

In terms of operation, this machine is very buggy. About 1/4 of the print jobs do not register. The error message tells you to fiddle with the USB then with the power supply cable. What you really need to do is restart your computer each time, then it'll spit out all the backed up print jobs in the queue. About 1/3 of the time, the first several sheets of your copy jobs come out as a giant black rectangle that covers the entire sheet of paper. Once it warms up, the remaining copies usually come out okay. Fortunately, it doesn't do that with the print jobs. To add insult to injury, this thing is an ink guzzler. The ink cartridges are not refillable and are expensive to replace.

Despite all the bugs, I'm giving this item 2 stars. It really saves your butt, say on the evening of April 15th when you need to make a couple copies of your tax forms before you head to the 24hr post office. Besides, what did you expect from a cheapy little printer?
