Rating: Summary: Perfect Review: I've been an avid amateur photographer for over 20 years, and I can tell you the prints from this printer are top notch and lab quality.
The color rendition is extemely accurate so long as you properly load the Sony printer driver. Those of you who get unexpected results may because of the quality or calibration of your computer monitor. I have not noticed, as some have, that any color is particularly bright or vivid. The price per print is a little hefty, around $0.65 per print if your buy the larger 75 print kit, but of course you only print the ones you really like. Be advised that Sony does not include in the box any starter print cartridge or paper in the box, so you must buy these separatly.
Rating: Summary: No more running of to the photo store! Review: If you have a digital camara, like photography and want really nice prints, this little marvel will do wonders for you! The advantage over traditional colour printers is the Dye-sublimation process: this means it burns your pictures into the paper instead of printing them on top of it. Result: your pictures won't fade away after 6 months! I hooked up mine to the computer so I can make slight changes in the pictures, no professional foto print store will do that for you. It's a great great printer at a very nice price.
Rating: Summary: Bummer! Review: Just purchased this printer with high expectations. I didn't realize that it cannot be used directly with my Flash Memory Card. Only works directly with a Memory Stick. I hooked it up to my PC and the print quality was bad, nowhere near the quality I currently get at a photo lab. Oh well!

Rating: Summary: Simply The Best Way To Get 4x6 Prints At Home! Review: Pros: Prints decent photos from high-resolution images; its prints are relatively inexpensive and indestructible.Cons: Can't view photos directly on printer; prints fall out of paper output tray when left unattended; noisy; doesn't run off batteries; low-resolution pictures become inferior prints. Summary: I just purchased the Sony DPP-EX5 earlier this week. I am absolutly amazed! I have been using an Epson Stylus Photo 820 inkjet printer. That printer does produce very nice photos, however, I kept running into problems with ink clogs, poor edges in borderless photos, and the speed of the printer. So, knowing that all I ever print at home for photos is 4x6 prints, I decided to give the Sony a try. I am glad I did! Dye-sublimation produces much better and longer lasting prints. I have made many comparison prints from the Epson and the Sony. Hands down the Sony wins. And that is saying a lot considering Epson's reputation for making good photo printers. I still have the Epson as my everyday printer and it works well for that. But from now on for my photos it will be the Sony. When you factor in price per print and the fact that you are only printing the digital photos you want, it is very affordable. I am useing this printer in for photos shot with my Olympus C-5050 5mp camera. I purchased the DPP-EX5 at [local store]for [$$$]. The 25 pack ink/paper packs sell there for [$$$]. Not a bad deal. One last thing. If you purchase the Sony, download the most recent driver from Sony's website if you plan to use the printer with a pc like I do. It ads a few fine tuning options not on the included CD. Despite the cons, the pros still outwheigh the cons, to me. Just buy it, you will love it!
Rating: Summary: Love this printer!!! Review: The print quality is awesome, I am using a Sony Cybershot 5 megapixel camera. I took it out of the box and loaded the paper, cartridge and memory stick and started printing right away! It has so many features. You can edit your pics right on your television then print. It has many editing features as well! My only concern is that it does't come with a USB cable, but that can always be purchased at a later time. Overall, this is an excellent photo printer.
Rating: Summary: Better than 35mm Review: The Sony Digital Photo Printer (DPP-EX5) is an excellent Photo printer. I bought it about a month ago, and I am still amazed at the quality photos it produces. I have it hooked up to my computer so I have not used any of the features on it. I noticed that you get what you put into it. The better quality pitchers you use the better it looks. In my opinion the pitchers look the ones from my 35mm I get developed at a store. In fact I just sold my 35mm camera, and I am going strictly digital. The super coat 2 coating it puts over the pics is great. I highly recommend this printer.
Rating: Summary: Great but for money!! Review: This is a great little printer for the money.... I couldn't believe my eyes when I first found it. The pictures come out on a standerd 4x6 print paper. The paper is slightly expensive and price per print is slighly higher compared to going in and just ordering prints from another place (like kodak print center). I figured about 0.57$ compared to 0.09$. The benefit is that you can make sure that your prints actually turn out so you have close to a 100% success print rate. I know what I'm getting and I'm getting it right away... no waiting a week for the stuff to show up in the mail. The one draw back I found is that the colors sometimes come out over corrected but I just need to find a way through the drive to stop that from happening... Reds come out overwhelming and whites are sometimes blinding.
Rating: Summary: Digital Photo Review: this is a very good printer. The photos look better than the 35mm you get from the local developer. The only down fall is the memory stick but if you use your pc and a phot program yuo will still be able to do everything you want to. The quality is top of the line
Rating: Summary: Best And Affordable Dye-Sub Printer Review: This printer is awsome, its only 200 bucks, which is a good price for a dye-sublimation printer. This baby prints lab quality prints im telling you. My only wish is that Sony would make a version that can print up to 5x7, that would be so great. Even if you dont have a computer, with this you can hook it right up to your tv and use the effects and print. It can print 3x5, 4x6, and little mini stickers which are cool. The stickers are just like the ones you can make out those little booths that charge like 4 dollars. You can make your own much cheaper with this, its awsome!
