Summary: Couldn't Be Happier
Review: I love this printer. I wanted something for printing Christmas Calendars for my family. I was using a Lexmark and went through alarming amounts of ink due to the single color cartridge. I bought the Canon i560 and fell in love with it immediately. It's fast and quiet. I love the 3 color cartridges. This is saving me a lot of money. My only initial concern was that it printed perfect 4x6 photos, but when I tried printing larger images I was getting lines on the page. I finally found a setting in the printing option that allowed me to reduce digital noise and now those images are printing flawlessly too. Great printer for the money!

Summary: Great printer for price!
Review: I just bought the i560 last week when my BJ2000 died. I use my printer frequently for school papers and this printer prints very crisp, clear letters. More recently, I started using it to print out pictures. My BJ2000 could also do pictures, but not near as well as this printer. I used the Canon 4x6 Photo Paper Plus Glossy sample that came with the printer and was very impressed with the quality of the pictures. They looked at least as good as the ones I get when I send them out to be developed. It also has some great tools to optimize photos which gives you an even better picture. The only drawback that I have found so far is that pictures don't seem to come out as 'pretty' if you use general purpose photo/imaging film. Glossy photos seem to come out the best.

Summary: Wow. Nice Stuff.
Review: I bought it based on the reviews on ZDNet and could not be more pleased. High quality prints and affordable price. Individual ink wells are a great feature. I Love It.

Summary: Outstanding
Review: This product prints wonderfull pictures at the fraction of the cost most other printers. Ink is 8-10$ instead of the usual HP price of like 20$. Fast, reliable. It has a sleep feature where it turns off automatically and turn back on only when a print job is sent to it.

Great Photos too and the included software makes priting desired sizes fast and simple.

Summary: Outstanding printer for Mac OS X
Review: I got this printer to replace a noisy and ink-hungry Lexmark, and I couldn't be happier with it. Even thought it's only a four color printer, it prints beautiful photos VERY quickly... a 4x6 comes out in less than 45 seconds, and the quality is excellent. Text is very good, too, although I'd definitely recommend using good quality coated inkjet paper for general printing -- unlike the Epson Durabrite inks, the Canon inks don't fare so well on cheap paper.

More important to me is the fact that it works spendidly with Mac OS X 10.3. Canon only officially supports Mac OS X 10.2.x, but I've had no problems with 10.3. Even the bundled software works well, although I still prefer iPhoto for cataloging and printing photos. Finally, although there's no special tray for 4x6 photo paper (like the i860 and i960), I've found the process of loading and printing on different paper sizes (including envelopes) to be exceptionally easy; thus far, I haven't accidentally printed anything with the wrong orientation or margins.

Summary: Great Bang for Your Buck
Review: I owned an Epson printer that went out. I came back to Canon and am much happier. The Photo quality is unbelievable. the printer is reasonably quiet and very fast. The best thing is that the replacement cartridges (something most dont think about) are very inexpensive. Overall the best deal you can get for a Great Home Printer. You will never need to get pictures developed at the store again. Yeah Canon

Summary: Unbelievable quality photo prints for such price
Review: Everyone is blown away by the quality photo prints I show them when I use the glossy plus paper. (I have also tried Kodak paper by the print turns out not acceptable.) I wanted to buy the s9000 but after using the i560, I don't feel the need for more. In fact, I used a laser printer for most of the stuff and this printer is now used for photo only!!! This printer is so much more quiet and MUCH MUCH faster than the Epson (785) I just broke. The design is very nice where you can completely close the paper tray and the output area so no dust can get in.

Summary: Outstanding printer
Review: Previously I have owned 2 Epson printers in the last 5 years (A c740 and then a C40ux). But this printer blows the others out of the water! I can't beleive that for this price you can get a printer this fast and with such great color! And the ink prices won't break the bank. I'm going to recommend the Canon i560 to everyone I know.

Summary: Great printer for the bucks
Review: Bought it from Sam's Club for 99.87 without having to go thru rebate stuff. Took it out of the box and followed the easy install instructions included. Had it working in no time. Print quality is great for both text and photos. Really fast text when using the draft mode. Draft mode text is as good as standard except it is lighter, but very readable. Ink cartridge prices much lower then most others. I think it is a great buy. Only negative for me is that the provided photo software does not work on Winnt, however I do have other software that probably does the jog just as well.

Summary: BEST FULL-FEATURED COLOR INKJET. PERIOD.
Review: If you are looking for a desktop printer (not the portable ones such as Canon's i70) then you just cannot get better than this. I include Epson's PhotoPlus 2200 and HP's PhotoSmart 7960, both of which are great printers but Canon wins hands-down in terms of ink longevity, photo quality (on professional photo paper,) and price (you can get deals for 85 USD for instance.)

The printer flies with B&W text, e.g., while printing websites off the web browser. The setup is breezy and hassle-free. With PictBridge built in, will connect directly to your digicam for printing on paper -- no need to transfer the file to your computer, then print from Adobe Photoshop etc.

For a home printer, given that the Epson, the HP and Canon are more or less the same in picture quality, the most important thing I have realized is that I need to keep ink cartidge replacements in check. Canon blows its competition out of the water in this respect.

And that's for the maintenance costs. Even for the upfront costs, this printer is unmatched either by Epson's 2200 or HP's 7960.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a full-featured home printer.
