Description:
This superior 36-bit flatbed scanner has two scanning beds, one for photos and one for film, and uses Microtek's own patented Emulsion Direct Imaging Technology for incredibly sharp transparency scanning. With EDIT, there is no glass between the scanning lens, film, or light source, eliminating distortion and Newton rings, which can occur with traditional transparency adapters. The ArtixScan 2500f combines the speed of FireWire and SCSI with the flexibility of dual-media, dual-lens scanning. This high-performance scanner is versatile enough to scan full-bed reflective or transparent artwork at up to 1,250 dpi, or up to 2,500 dpi in a 4-inch-wide band running the length of both scan beds. SnapTrans film templates are included for scanning a wide variety of film, including 35mm slide, 35mm filmstrip, 4-by-5-inch, and 6-by-9-centimeter. An 8-by-10-inch glass tray is also included as a universal film holder to scan non-standard-sized film. The comprehensive software package includes SilverFast Ai 6.0 with dust and scratch removal and Genuine Fractals Print Pro 2.5. Microtek provides a one-year limited warranty that covers parts and service.
