The IBM Ideascan scanner has a lot to offer. Easy access buttons quickly preview, start a color scan, activate optical character recognition, create a fax (if you have a fax modem and software), copy, and prepare e-mail (if you have Microsoft Exchange). Bundled software includes PhotoStudio Suite and Textbridge Classic 2.0 OCR, PhotoStudio SE 2.0, PhotoFantasy, PhotoBase, PhotoPrinter, and all necessary drivers. The scanner includes a removable cover, 4-foot parallel port cable, and protection against lightning strikes, power line problems, and radio interference. You can also choose a data compression mode for increased scanning speed.
