Description:
A desktop scanner from Agfa, the 1236S is a flatbed, CCD, one-pass unit boasting high-quality output and a number of useful extras. The 600 x 1,200 dpi optical resolution (up to 9,600 x 9,600 dpi interpolated) combines with 12-bit internal color to render accurate and true-to-life scans. The software bundle comes with a number of programs to help you achieve the best scan results, including ScanWise and OmniPage LE with OCR. Scan speeds are about 3.5 ms per line for line art, 6.5 ms per line for gray, and 7 ms per line for color. The 1236S has a 8.5-by-11.7-inch scanning area and a small 14.76-by-20.98-inch footprint. The optional automatic document feeder helps to save valuable time by scanning up to 60 documents at a time, while an optional adapter lets you scan transparencies in addition to regular documents. The 100V to 240V power supply consumes less than 45 W during normal operation, while warm-up time is less than 15 seconds. The 1236S connects to your computer via its SCSI-2 interface and has a 2 Mbytes/sec transmission speed.
