Review: This Pioneer cd recorder replaces the older model PDR - 555RW! The basic flaw in the older model was that you could not adjust the digital output volume. When combining various cd's to make a hits compilation you could not control the record level volume in digital. So you basically had some songs recorded at a higher level than others. This newer unit avoids this flaw and lets you adjust the digital output level to give you perfect level controlled recordings. And Pioneer has dropped the price considerably (the older unit sold for [price]two years ago). All in all this is a very easy unit to use and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing a high quality cd recorder which also records cdrw's as well as your basic cdr's. Highly recommended!
