Description:
The PTL500U from Panasonic is a high-quality LCD projector optimized for projecting widescreen movies. With its 16:9 aspect ratio and 10-bit digital processing and gamma correction, you can achieve stunning theater-like presentation at home. Three 1,280 x 720 LCD panels combine with a 1,300:1 contrast ratio and 850 ANSI lumens of brightness to deliver bright, easy-to-see images even in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. A projector "AI" automatically adjusts lamp brightness to your surroundings. The 130-watt lamp has an expected life of about 5,000 hours. The PTL500U supports a wide variety of inputs, including DVI-D, PC, RGB, component video, and S-video, and can be mounted either on a desk or ceiling, in front of or behind the projection screen. The projector is also compatible with both PC and Mac operating platforms, as well as PAL, NTCS, and SECAM video formats. A progressive cinema scan reproduces natural, flicker-free video, while a dynamic sharpness control helps enhance image quality. A wireless remote control allows you to operate the projector without having to leave the comfort of your seat. The 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz power supply consumes about 180 watts during normal operation and just 1 watt on standby. The PTL500U also comes backed by a one-year limited warranty.
