Rating: Summary: Great machine...a necessity if you own more than 100 CDs! Review: Bought this player for my wife as Christmas present and it has been eating CDs ever since. It has been to service to be fixed and started eating again almost immediately. Caveat Emptor! P.S. I didn't buy this online.

Rating: Summary: Not bad at all Review: I bought my older generation 200 disk machine some time ago and I have not had an iota of problem with it. I particularly like the unlimited shuffle play feature which is a lot of fun if you, like me, have very eclectic musical tastes. I bought the older model which did not permit you to enter disk information but that has not proven to be a big handicap. I really do like the convenience of not having to continually take out and put away CDs.
Rating: Summary: a lot for the buck, but could be better.... Review: My first one lasted two hours after I loaded it, a cd got stuck in the back and actually damaged the servo that spins the carousel around, so I got it replaced with a new one. After careful comparison with my other cd players, I'm not too impressed with the digital filters... they seem to compress or narrow the stereo field a bit too much for my liking. But for the dollar value, it's not a bad deal.

Rating: Summary: The best item I have ever bought Review: No more lost disks, No more searching for the original box, no more mountains of disks, every disk I have is inside, the catalog (included) is filled with the disk's covers, each kind of music is held separately, random play (from all the disks), easy programing (I can arrange the music for a party in advance and I don't have to worry about changing disks), easy changing of places (if I want to regroup by singer or any other motive. In one word - perfect machine.
Rating: Summary: Save Your Money for the One That Remembers the Titles Review: Sony seems to be the leader in high-capacity CD players. I bought my 200 disc Sony (the CDPCX250) over 2 years ago and have never had any problems with it. But I'm glad that I insisted on the one that lets me enter the titles, because trying to remember where I put all those discs would be a real bear. And this feature doesn't add much to the price, either. The great feature that I've seen on all high-capacity Sony's is that you can use the same remote on up to 3 CD players, which allows for a lot of growth (my 1st one is full, and I'm ready to buy #2). They also allow you to categorize your CDs in up to 8 categories, and then shuffle between discs only in those categories. But insist on one that lets you enter the titles, unless you have a really good memory (and don't think you can get by with those little books they give you to stick all the covers in, either). Some of them even allow you to enter them using a computer keyboard, rather than the little keyboard on the remote.

Its title display make it easyto access your favorite cd with a turn of the knob. For party lovers, this the perfect unit. SO DON'T BOTHER CHANGING CDS! Rating: Summary: A great value! Review: This is an excellent CD Player. It provides storage for 200 CDs and keeps them organized however you want them. You can label each CD with a title of up to 13 characters. This isn't a lot of space, but it is plenty for you to know which CD is which. Also, any CDs that are already programmed with CDText are read and displayed automatically. And don't worry about not being able to keep them in perfect order as you add new CDs to the collection. You can group any CDs from any slots at the touch of a button, up to eight groups. Group your favorite bands, by stlyes, or alphabetically. Whatever you want! (This is a feature the 225 model lacks, by forcing you to physically store 20 CDs next to each other to be grouped). And, when your collection grows beyond 200, you can link up to three of these players together and control them from one unit. Not enough? you know all those tracks you always hated? The ones that you always felt just didn't belong on a particular CD? With this player's Delete File feature, you can program the player to permanently skip over any unwanted tracks on any or all of your CDs (without, of course, physically deleting the track). Finally, the player can store 3 custom programs of up to 32 tracks each, or just play continuously (or shuffled) through the entire carosel, or through a particular group of CDs. Last but not least, the play quality is excellent. Most would expect less from a changer of this capacity, but I have never had a complaint about the sound quality produced. The only drawback to this changer is that (unlike it's later models) it is not keyboard compatible, so entering in disc titles can be a little tedious, especially if you load all 200 at once. This is the perfect CD Changer. It has everything you need. Highly recommended! (Also available in a 300, and 400 disc model)
Rating: Summary: Great machine...a necessity if you own more than 100 CDs! Review: This is the most useful piece of electronics I've bought in a long time. I'm listening to CDs I've owned but not played in years! I've entered all the CD titles with my computer keyboard. Only wish they would have allowed more space for the titles. Would highly recommend!
