Rating: Summary: Sony Let Down Review: Except for slow changing of discs, especially in shuffle mode, the unit performed well for the first week. After that there has been a repetitive problem of discs not falling properly into their respective slots after play. Sometimes the CDs fall into the interior of the player and can be fished out easily after removing the unit's cover, but often they jam and result in damaged CDs. I no longer use the unit. It is still kept in my audio rack for appearance, as I had to customize the rack to accept a player its size.

Rating: Summary: One small problem Review: Great machine, only problem , not really a problem, is that when playing , shuffle all discs, it may take as long as 20 seconds to get from one cut to another, other than that it is more than I expected, good sound ,lots of very helpful features to you find the exact disc or song you want to hear, not at all disappointed
Rating: Summary: good unit Review: Have been using this unit as a karaoke player (using the digital out to the video translator for karaoke disks). has worked flawlessly under heavy use for about 2 yrs in some what could be called enviormentally unsuitable locations for electronic gear. (smoke, etc)and it gets moved a lot, so I am very pleased with it.
Rating: Summary: Sony has lost it... Review: I will start with the only two drawbacks I saw. First, It takes quite a while to load and label all of your CDs (it has no ps2 input for a keyboard). Second, you cannot place it too close to your speakers, the CD player is extremely sensitive. It will skip if you have the bass turned up and the volume too loud. That's itThe player is extremely easy to use and has quite a few features that are great if you entertain (depending on the company you are keeping). You can set up to 8 different genres of music and shuffle within one of these or among all of them. If you are like I am, you have friends that like country music and some that like rock. You can now please everyone. Set the changer to play only country or rock (or anything else you have programmed into it. This changer, while holding a great amount of CDs, is quite easy to load. It is easy to program, although a ps2 input would make it easier. It can be programmed using the remote or the component itself. Oh, it looks nice, too.

Rating: Summary: Sony has lost it... Review: This unit worked great for the first forty days, which coincidently is past the point of return for most retailers. After that time it developed a very annoying habit of not replacing the cd into the proper slot on the turntable. As a result, the cd would fall into the unit's mechanism. Most of the time, the disc fell clear of the other cds on the turntable. Once it did not, and lodged itself between the playing mechanism and the other cds on the turntable. As a result, it was cracked from centre hole to edge by one of the other discs as they moved by. This was not a "one off" problem; it repeatedly failed to replace discs properly. Naturally the Sony rep I contacted had never heard of such a problem, so it was over to the Sony repair center and a one hour wait just to drop it off. The rep at the repair center stated Sony would reimburse me for the cost of the broken disc, but I am not too optimistic. I have several other Sony audio components that have been trouble-free. Once upon a time, an audio component with the Sony name meant it would perform for years. Those days are apparently history. The only reason I rated it two stars is that for the month or so it worked, it worked very well.
