Rating: Summary: Buy this one! Review: I bought this JVC to replace my old Optimus 5 CD changer. WOW, what a difference! This unit holds all my CD's plus room for a few extras. It is easy load the CD's because it has each slot numbered. The remote control is not too complicated to figure out. Also, it comes with a handy binder to hold the CD pamplets and stickers to place on each page so that you know exactly which number CD to choose.

Rating: Summary: My first experiance with a mega-cd changer Review: I bought this model chiefly because the older 334 was discontinued. But I was not dissapointed. There is one key thing about this unit, simplicity. It may not have CD text, a keyboard port, or look very flashy but it does just what I need it to do. It is also very easy to use and control, mostly because of the three different playback modes(continuous, one-disc, and program). The output is decent and the disc access is relatively quick, and for some reason, the noise from the rotary spinning doesn't bother me that much. If there is one drawback, however, its loading the discs(or rather, preparing the unit to load the discs.) I found it a little difficult to get it to go in the loading/unloading position. But that was the only cutback I found. In all, its a great unit and a perfect component to the rest of my audio system.
Rating: Summary: WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN DOG CRAP. Review: I bought this player about a month ago & it worked fine for about a week. Brand new CDs started skipping for no reason & at different times during repeated play. Many times it would just skip the first 40 seconds of a song then play normally. I returned it for a replacment.
A "new" one arrived & when I hooked it up it even refused to turn on at first. When I finally got it running it started acting possesed, for a minute I thought I was in Maximum Overdrive. It went into random disc mode for no reason, refused to play anything, & then finally shut down with a cryptic "15" the only thing shown on the display. Needless to say I am returning it as we speak, this time for a refund. Obviously JVC is seriously lacking in quality, perhaps this accounts for the low price. If you want to needlessly waste your time & money, buy this cd-changer. Otherwise look elsewhere.
Rating: Summary: Skip to my Lou! Review: I purchased this CD player to go with my JVC stereo receiver and cassette tape player. It worked for perhaps a week, and then one day out of the blue it began to skip while playing CD's. I thought it might be the CD, being scratched or dirty, but it would skip on brand new CD's too. The skipping, actually playing just bits of tracks before moving on to another track, continued all day long. No matter what I did, the problem continued. The next day, the unit worked fine again, at least for awhile, and then it started skipping again intermittently. It got so unreliable that I finally sent it back, under warranty, to JVC. They supposedly "fixed it" and sent it back to me, with no description of what was done. I used the player several times before the skipping problem began again. I sent the unit back to the factory, and they sent it back to me telling me that it was no longer under warranty! I tried calling JVC headquaters and left messages for them to call, but never got a call back. I finally gave up on all JVC products. Therefore, I cannot recommend this product to anyone. It is just too unreliable and the customer service is terrible. I would not even give this CD player one star, but that is the least amount of rating I can give it.
Rating: Summary: Great Player for the price Review: I really am happy with this CD Changer. It is great for the price. It is a little slow on changing disks, although, I'm sure none of them are much faster with having to handle 200 disks. I have read some reviews saying that they had trouble with the player skipping. I haven't. Ever since I loaded my disks and put it away, I haven't heard one disk skip, and I have some disks that are less than pristine. I am using it in my whole house system, and have sensors in each room for IR signals. Using a Philips Pronto Pro 7000, I have put each disk's playlist on the remote and programmed it so that the user only has to hit the name of the song on the cd that they want, and this JVC player will play it. No need to know where the disk is in the player or the track number of the song. I love it.
Rating: Summary: When you can't pick what to listen to, let it pick for you! Review: I've got enough CDs that it's become hard to decide what to listen to. I know whether I want something upbeat or soothing, but not precisely what to listen to. This has helped immensely. I bought one and put all my best upbeat stuff in it, and now I just turn it on, hit random, and let it suprise me. I enjoy it so much that I came back and bought two more, one for soothing, "fall asleep to" music, and the other for inspirational music. P.S.-You don't have to be able to completely fill it to use random, thus leaving ample room for further additions.

Rating: Summary: Works well for me. Review: I've had this CD changer for a couple days now, and it's been working well. I love the fact that I can load up all 200 of my CD's, hit random and just let it go! No more searching for cases and losing CD's. I will admit that it is a little more sensitive to dirty or scratched CD's then some other players I've used. But after cleaning problem discs, I've rarely had problems. I would give this item a 5, but it seems to be a very bare-bones player. No text readout, and the remote & button configuration leaves something to be desired. You have to push 3 buttons just to change the disc. Overall I am happy with my purchase. I have been using JVC products for many years without problems.
Rating: Summary: Keeps your disks and the track play lists well organized. Review: Mine came with a handy little binder/folder with 200 transparent sheet windows to organize the liner notes booklets which come packaged inside CD's. This lets you remember what disk is in which slot and which track has which tune, and lets you keep all this info stored in one place (in the binder/folder). Very handy. The unit works hard all the time for couple of years, no problems, seems rugged, and is easy to use, especially the large jog shuttle dial to advance the turntable very fast from 1 to 200. All your music ready to play! All your liner notes ready to read! After I aquire more then 200 CD's, I'll just buy another one of these :)
