Rating: Summary: Good but pictures are not that great Review: Buy this camera if you don't take a lot of picture in a short time. It has a great design and inside the box, you'll also find a manual and a soft bag. The manual were only pictures and nothing explained with much details. My first pictures with it were posters, and using the flash made it worthless. The best part of it was the handstrap on it. I get tired holding a camera without it.The star missing is for the lack of good pictured details and the danger of cutting the trims of the film.
Rating: Summary: Cheap Thrills Review: I bought mine at WalMart 2 years ago because I wanted something inexpensive and easy to fool around with. I was not expecting good quality pictures...and I was not disappointed. But a funny thing happened when I was learning Photoshop.Needing images to work on, I scanned in my crappy snapshots at a fairly high resolution and was amazed at what appeared on my screen. Then I played with color, contrast, levels, etc. You can probably get the same results with any of the cheaper photo editting programs that are out there. This only seems to be true for daylight pics.Everything I've taken after dark sucks because of the damn automatic flash. Recently I tried a pack of the black and white film and the results were really cool. The camera itself cost about 30 bucks, but without a scanner and software the pics are pretty worthless. However it is incredibly easy to use and you can usually find good deals on the film which is available everywhere (for now anyway)The B/W film is a little harder to find, but worth it. And I'll even admit to sneaking up on my sleeping cat for a candid close up...the motor whirrs as the camera spits out the picture and the puzzled look on his face is priceless.
Rating: Summary: decent pict Review: I forgot to add that I had a heck of a time understanding the flash business on the manual. My pictures came out pretty good. Pretty surprised for a Polaroid. The case is kind of cool-turns into a fanny pack which is perfect for a busy parent who needs both hands.
Rating: Summary: Olaroid OneStep is the best! Review: I'm an amature photographer. I love taking pictures, exept waiting to see how they come out. With Polaroid OneStep Express Instant Camera I can take great pictures without having to wait to see what my pictures look like.
Rating: Summary: Spiffier cosmetics for Polaroid's classic choice Review: Lately Polaroid has been busy trying to light a fire under their flagging sales by introducing a raft of 'life-style accessory' cameras: the i-zone, JoyCam, PopShots and most recently, the Spectra FF. But its their oldest model, the One Step, that offers the most bang for the buck. The i-zone, PopShots and JoyCam models foolishly have dispensed with Polaroid's traditional lighten/darken control. Since Polaroid instant film has a rather narrow range of tone and contrast, an exposure that's sligthly too light or dark can be much more disappointing than if it were shot with a conventional camera. And at nearly a buck a pop, disappointing snapshots get pretty expensive. The One Step still has a slide control for adjusting exposure, which gives you some chance of salvaging a shot that otherwise wouldn't impress. The One Step models also give you a swing-in close-up lens for getting more pleasing portrait shots. The newer One Step Express and Silver Edition models offer the same features, plus an adjustable hand strap in a spiffed-up package; its your call as to whether the strap and added swoop is worth the extra ten bucks. Polaroid's other new-comer, the Spectra 1200FF offers essentially the same features with a wider-angle lens, fold-up body and rectangular format film.... For practical features in a reliable, bargain-priced package, the One Step Close-up model is the pick of the lot.
Rating: Summary: Very good for an instant camera Review: This camera is relatively easy to use and the pictures are very good quality. I think it's important to remember that these cameras are for fun spontaneous moments like at parties and trips to amusement parks. It's an "INSTANT" camera and it does it's job very well.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good! Review: This is a good camera if you like taking pictures and if you don't like waiting to get your pictures developed, especially for the price. The pictures aren't amazing, but they are pretty good for an instant camera. There is, obviously, a flash button but there's also a switch that you change according to how far away you are from the object you want to photograph. However, the manual is really confusing. Everything is demonstrated with an illustration and it's pretty difficult to figure out the part about the flash (I'm sure they couldn't just write it because there are so many languages that they wrote the warranty in!). But this is a great camera (and you get a box of film and a case with the kit)and I'd recommend it. But also, the film is expensive so use your pictures wisely!
