Summary: Outstanding
Review: I spend numerous hours online reading the specs. of every brand of camera. I decided to purchase the Minolta 150 Zoom. This camera is by far, the best I have owned. And believe me, I've had them all. It is lightweight and takes beautiful pictures on every setting. Inside, outside, low light, far away, and in the dark. I took pictures of my Grandchildren outside at night and the clarity was spectacular. If people would take time and read the instructions, every picture would turn out perfect. I have been a camera buff for 35 years and I am extemely happy with this Minolta.

Summary: Can't believe only 5 Zoom Stops
Review: I was all set to buy this camera but one thing mentioned in the reviews confused me. Only 5 zoom stops? How can that be with a 150 mm zoom capability? Sure enough, I test drove it and the lens only zooms to 5 distinct zoom stops. You can't just zoom the lens as desired and stop it wherever you want (i.e. when you take your finger off the zoom, the lens stops where you want it to). Instead the lens adjusts backwards to the nearest pre-set stop (one of 5 available). I've never seen a zoom camera with such an incredibly bone-headed feature. Buy some other zoom.

Summary: Washed Out Pictures
Review: Indoors with flash, subject is often washed out with dark background. Outdoors pictures are always washed out/overexposed unless taken with telephoto.

Summary: Very Disappointed
Review: My husband and I only use our camera occasionally and have had many problems with it.
Large Battery Drain, Poor Focusing, and Multiple Breakdowns. Most recently, our photos came out very dark.

We telephoned Minolta and they were quite indifferent to the situation. They were supposed to send me a form via e-mail in order to file a complaint and have not followed through.

We will not buy this brand again.

Summary: This camera is a lemon.
Review: Since purchase about 8 months ago, this camera has broken twice - both times while on vacation. On first break (after about 3 months), the camera stopped working with little warning. Sent the camera to Minolta and received a working camera about 6 weeks later. Couldn't determine what they did to fix the camera. On second break (after about 6 months), the zoom functionality stopped working. Two breaks in 8 months are enough to give up on Minolta. We're negotiating with Best Buy to trade the camera for a digital camera (of course, we can't return it outright).

Summary: Excellent zoom feature, cool remote control too
Review: This camera has an awesome zoom capability. Works great as a pair of binoculars too. Some pictures will come out a little blurry if you zoom all the way (make sure you read the owner's manual to find out some tricks to prevent that!). The remote control feature lets you take group pictures without having to set the time, run to the group and quickly pose. Just set the camera on a table (I use a tripod), get your group together and click on the remote when you're ready to take the picture. Love my camera!

Summary: great camera!
Review: This camera is without a doubt one of the best ones I've owned. I originally purchased it to replace my 4 year old Minolta Freedom Zoom 90EX that had been dropped. I wanted another Minolta camera because I was impressed with the clarity and lighting of my old camera. I bought the 150 version mainly for its compact size. After snapping two rolls with it, I must say that it's surpassed my already high expectations of Minolta cameras. The pictures came out very sharp and clear with brilliant colors. The suede case it came with was a very nice addition, as was the remote control and self timer. I especially like the sleek silver look and small size. I haven't had any problems with it yet, and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Summary: Decnet Camera
Review: This is a good camera and takes great pictures. The size of the camera is great and you can take it anywhere. The only drawback that I have with the camera is that when it zooms, it seems to be louder than most other cameras, but it does have quite a zoom! I did get this camera even though other reviewers mention the drawback of having only five zoom stops. That did concern me, but when I started to take pictures and get into the camera I really didn't notice it. Remember though, the quality of picture is dependant on the subject AND the type of film you use and who develops it...
