Summary: Unhappy with this camera
Review: .... It does take okay photos, but the flash mechanism functions very strangely. Even when fully charged, it sometimes does not go off - even when it should. This meant I had to take two of the same shot in order to guarantee I got it. It seems like if you don't press the button down hard enough, it takes the photo w/o the flash. The flash takes a few seconds to recharge, so you can't take a lot of photos close together. It also takes double A batteries, not a photo battery, and does not have an auto-rewind feature. The lens closing is also strange. In order to turn the camera off, you push the plastic lens cover against the side of the lens, which triggers the lens to retract fully. It seems to me that this is a very "breakable" way for it to work. I ended up returning this and buying a Canon Sure Shot.

Summary: Good, Bad and Ugly
Review: All combined in one. I bought this in Amazon site and the first thing I noticed was it made a lot of noise while operating. Pretty soon I was embarassed to operate the camera in front of my friends, because of the loud noise it made (Ugly). I'm still not sure how to make the flash work automatically (Bad). Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The first snap I took with the camera was with a Self timer. After that I've not been able to get the Self timer working (Ugly). What's good then? - The prints. I liked the quality of the prints I got, which is why I did not return the camera to Amazon yet. If you want a cheap camera which has builtin Zoom and do not mind the noise and erratic flash then this is a good buy.

Review: I enjoy taking lots of pictures, but I have had nothing but frustration after buying this camera. I kept thinking the batteries were dead, and the camera would freeze up and not perform any longer. I cannot tell you how many missed birthday, anniversary, and Christmas pictures since this camera came into my life. What a dog!

Review: I have taken four or five rolls of photos and the colors are bad. They are mostly too bright or fogged out. The pics come out a little better with the zoom, zoomed. I sadly gave it to my mom, istead of blowing it up. We bought a Sigma Sa-9 and feel much better on quality.

Summary: Easy camera to use & like.....
Review: I own several cameras... all Olympus. On this model, I like the extra large "bright" view finder. I am a huge fan of Olympus, and this Accura XB700 fits the bill. Reasonably priced for all pocketbooks. The main reason I bought this was to bring to the kids sporting events, and to please my wife. My other older (Olympus) camera is 7 times more expensive, much bigger and most of the knobs are manuel... it's an easy decision which camera we'll choose when wanting some quick & easy pix... (this one)

Review: I recently bought this camera from Amazon and I've had nothing but disapointment. It's relatively easy to use, until you get your pictures back, the colors are all wrong, nothing is in focus, a lot of my pictures have come back blury. I've taken family trips and taken many photos of which never develop correctly, you can't take those kind of things back, so I'm left with nothing. It could be the film, it could be the processing but I've never had any trouble with those two factors until I've used this camera. I would not reccommend buying this camera and if anyone has any suggestions as to what type of camera I should try, I would greatly appreciate it!

Summary: Great everyday camera
Review: The thing I like best about the Olympus Trip XB700 QD is that it won't break your bank..Great for everyday pictures, I like the Quartz date feature, and the large viewfinder..it's simple to use..for those of us who aren't camera experts..My primary use for this camera is snapshots of my kids and I am pleased with the results. We will be going on vacation soon and I'm anxious to see how well the camera does with other subjects..As far as I'm concerned, Great camera, Great price

Summary: Like the other reviewers, I don't recommend this camera
Review: This camera is a pain in the butt to use. Like the other reviewers, I also have problems with the lens. With brand new batteries the thing will behave strangely to the point of wanting to throw it away. Then right when I am ready to do just that, it will work again. There is a sliding cover over the lens to protect it, which is great, except when you go to close it again because you have to push it into the lens barrel. Overall this camera feels very cheaply constructed. The image quality is average for a point and shoot, ranging from decent color and sharpness in perfect lighting, to washed out and blurring in every other situation. I recommend looking elsewhere. Even the Nikon FM10 which is an SLR with interchangable Nikkor lenses can be found used for $150.

Review: This camera is loud and slow. The zoom is slow and jerky. Flash recycle is slow. Bulky
To utilize flash off and landscape mode, you have to use your left hand to hold the button in place while taking the actual picture.
No LCD, no other flash options, red-eye is always on, delay between hitting shutter button and snapping of the picture.
The lens cover, which slides over to the right when camera is on, is in just a spot that if you hold the cam a certain way, your fingers can scoot it over, thereby shutting the cam off in the middle of trying to take a picture.
The tele and wideangle buttons arent easy to feel...you have to look at the camera to be sure you arent hitting the shutter button.
Film rewind is auto, but only after you push the button to set it rewinding. It doesnt automatically pre-wind film to picture 1.
I have a Minolta Freedom Action Zoom 60 (for the past 7 yrs, its kinda outta commission right now, but after having this Olympus, thinking Im going to spend the money to get the Minolta fixed).....WAAAAAAAAAAY better camera. Offers more options, the camera does all the work for you by the touch of buttons. Flash is quick to recharge, zoom is fast, fluid, and quiet....what novel ideas!
