Rating: Summary: Optical gem in a polished sprat-tin. Review: Everyone in the States know Fuji for their superb color films, but not so many know that Fuji is also one of the world's premier optical houses. Fewer have heard what a little jewel this comapct zoom camera is. Konica used to use the ad line "The lens alone is worth the price!". Well, apologies to Konica, the tiny zoom on this baby Fuji would be worth twice the dosh. Super color rendition, definition and absence of flair, it captures a contrasty image yet still retains subtle nuances of delicate tonality. You won't find this kind of performance until you go shopping for the really high-end luxo point-and-shoots. Lens aside, the rest of the camera is an elegant, if quirky, package. Closed, the aluminum body reminds some of a sardine-tin... of Bang & Olufsen sardines. The controls are elegantly simple and restrained in their design, and for your usual snapshots, no camera could be simpler. Unfortunately, using the multi-purpose switch for of the manual exposure and focus over-rides overrides require a few counter-intuitive pokes. The built-in flash is adequate, but just. Pack along some fast film if you need more than 10' of reach from the flash. Otherwise, a great little performer that deserves more attention than the standard fare offerings from Canon and Olympus.
Rating: Summary: Very good lens, smart flash and Best value Review: I agree with other review writers. There are not many people know about the Fuji EBC lens. Normally, Fuji used this lens for their media format camera. It is a very good lens. Some time even better than some German lens. This lens gives your very good skin tone and contrast and sharpness. The smart flash will not produce a hot spot in which you commonly found in other P & S camera. The +- 2 exposure compensation gives user a chance to override the auto exposure meter. The LCD panel automatic light up for easy to read the technical data when you use this camera in the dark. All metal shield is very good to protect the camera body and increase its value. I love this litter camera very much.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Lovely Camera Review: I bought mine almost 2 years ago and it still performs flawlessly. I espeically like the small size, light weight, and the durable and attractive aluminum housing. The lens is very good and the controls are easy to master. Oh, and it takes great pictures! This is the camera I pack when I'm hiking at 14,000 feet or when I want a small camera with me on vacation. I own a Nikon F100 SLR with a couple rather large and heavy f2.8 lenses but for most of my snap shots I just use the Fuji.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely Lovely Camera Review: I have enjoyed the privilege of owning several point-and-shoot cameras, and out of all of my experiences, the FujiFilm DL Super Mini Zoom Camera, is truly the most wonderful of them all. The camera is simple to use and contains many features you would expect on a much more expensive camera, like the choice of either automatic or manual focus and date feature, not to say that this one is cheap. The camera is constructed out of beautiful high quality brushed aluminum and incorporates a lens far superior to most point-and-shooters, giving it the ability to take absolutely splendid photographs. The small size of the camera also comes in handy when on trips or if you need to whip it out hastily to take a once in a lifetime photo. And wherever I go, everyone that sees it is like, "I love this camera!" or "I want one of these!." The sort of enviousness they feel to your splendid investment makes you feel godly. All in all, I would recommend this camera to anyone who refuses anything but the best in quality and design. Buy it, cherish it, and use it forever. This is the camera for you.
Rating: Summary: Best camera for the value and price Review: I love this camera because it does almost everything for me as a P&S camera. It has a very good lens called Fujinon EBC in which Fuji used it on their professional medium format camera. The smart flash system will reduce the hot spot (over exposure). This over exposure of flash is commonly seen in most of the P&S camera. The all metal body shield makes this camera durable and stylish. The exposure compensation and backlight compensation plus a very good viewfinder are very useful features.
