Summary: The digatal camera
Review: I agree with most of the reviews that have already been posted. This is a great, mid-range digital camera. I have a couple friends who purchased Sony digitals about two years ago. To say the least, they are envious of the clarity of the pictures and the brilliance of the color.

Ease of use was not a big issue with me, since I am a techy to begin with. However, my wife has been able to take very good pictures with this camera with very little tutoring. And she is not in the least bit technical.

A previous reviewer made the statement that there is no affordable way to store large numbers of photos, so this was not a good vacation camera. I would have to strongly disagree. A 64meg compact flash card will hold 95+ pictures at the highest resolution. If you go to the "Good" setting (900 x 600) that number jumps to almost 400 pictures. At 900 x 600, you are still getting very clear, detailed photos. What more could you ask for? A 64meg compact flash card costs in the neighborhood of $50. I'm sure you can find it cheaper on the internet.

I highly recommend this camera as a starting point for those serious about getting into digital photography. It is also excellent for those that want to move from regular film in order to take advantage of the "instant gratification" factor.

Summary: Great Camera! Great Price!
Review: I bought this camera about a month ago and I love it... Everybody that I show my printed pictures to can not believe that these pictures were printed from my computer... I just wished I had waited a little longer before I bough it since the price has gone down in price since I purchased it... I would highly recommend this camera to anyone... Did a lot of comparison shopping & I always ended up back to this camera for it's value, price and quality of pictures... Video is not that great but not horrible either... Pictures come out fantastic...Enjoy your new camera

Summary: Kodak DX-3600
Review: I got my DX-3600 along with the camera dock recently. I am very happy with it. It has all the features a average user need (an excellent picture quality, easy to operate the camera, easy to transmit the photo to a PC or send to friends). I also love it since it has regular AA batteries. I will rate this one 5 stars

Summary: Kodak 3600 really delivers!
Review: I have been looking for a camera for using commercially for taking Real Estate pictures. I have been using the Canon S10 and S20 models. I purchased the Kodak on price with a 7 day return period. What amazed me was the superior quality of color and definition that the Kodak had over the Canon, which are priced higher. At first thought the Kodak does feel a little cheapo,-like a toy, but the proof of the pudding is in the reults.

The docking station is easy to use and ensures a fully charged battery every time. The picture transfer is fast. Often taking literally seconds compared to other cameas minutes.

The only drawback for me is the LCD not being easy to use in the daylight. However using the cameras viewfinder overcomes this.

If you want an idiot proof basic camear where good quality pictures and ease of use are required then I recommend this especially at the price Kodak have it for sale for.

The movie recored is O.K, if you want serios video you would purchase a digiatl video camear anyway), but is ideal for sending over the E mail to family.

Whilst some more serious enthusiasts may not take this camera seriously (no lowlight exposure adjustments etc) I think that for simple pointing and shooting, this camera will surprise you when you see the results. The colour and definition is very good on either setting (good, - better).

The software for downloading is clever and easy to use as well. Although the album feature could be made better.

Value for money = 10/10, an ideal first camera offering great results.

Summary: Easy to use and Shap pitures
Review: I have bought this a week ago and now it is a integral part of my daily life. Design is nice, very light, simple operation, good menu. The movie is a bit dark but acceptable. If you want to have a good quality movie camera, you don't want this. However, with this price and extra feature of movie, it is a good choice.
Picture was supprisingly sharp. I was able to view this on my TV on the fly also using supply video out - a nice feature.
Basically, this camera is built for a normal person without looking for too much troble. Except the low quality of video, I love this.

One bad thig about movie was it outputs movie as .mov and you have to view this using quicktime. I wanted to use Windows Media which has more function than Quicktime. I was able to find a convert software at ... - RAD video tool and convert this .mov to .avi format. Once I converted, I was able to burn VCD using Nero 5. Now it can be played on normal DVD. Recommanded for its quality, price, easy of use.

Not recommanded if you are a photo maniac looking for high end.

Summary: The digatal camera
Review: I have only used my friend digatal camera which is the same as this one amd I would give it a 10/10 rating, because it is user friendly and takes good pitures.

Summary: Great camera
Review: I have this camera about two years. I love it because it takes great pictures. The quality of the picture is just great. It has 2.2 MP but it takes the sharper photos than other camera that has 3.1 MP. It uses less memory to have 2.2 MP photos versus 3.1 MP. And the smaller size of the photos make you easier to send to friend and family via email.
Another advantage is that it is very solid. I have drop this camera more than 5 times on to the ground(Sorry, I am so careless when I was travelling) and each time It survived without any problem. It Only make the battery lid loose, but still working.
Disadvantage: Battery life is short. You can only take about 100 photos for a new set of battery.

Summary: GREAT CAMERA
Review: I have this camera and LOVE it. I work at a school and now take pictures for awards .... everyone loves the pictures and the video and sound are great, yes the batteries do go rather quickly but I just bought rechargeable and have a extra set ready, highly recommend. I tried 3 other kind and the quality was no where near as good. 2 of the other ones were more money and less quality. Just try it!!!!

Summary: excellent camera...battery problem as well
Review: I recently purchased this product, mainly appealed by the docking station and recharging features. I agree with the other reviewer...I too had battery problems. Same identical "red light flashing" indicating the need for new batteries, after just 8 shots. I had to use the power from the camera dock to reset the unit and get powered up again. I let the unit charge for the required "24-hours" yet the docking station indicated it was fully charged after just one. I then switched to AA-Lithiums for awhile. After going back to the rechargable's, I have had no problems since. Really odd...works fine now though..

Otherwise, the Camera is GREAT!! Easy to use, takes great photo's. The viewer is high quality and optical focus makes it worth the price over the DX3500. I take all photos at 1800 x 1200 and with the expansion card, you get 49 photos of best quality (on flash card) and 24 in-camera memory. This camera package is perfect for first-time users. Four out of Five stars due to the battery snafu early on.
