Review: I like this digital camera so much that I also bought one for my daughter, this way I get lots of pictures of my grandson, it's unbelievable easy to use, the software that comes with it is great, I highly recommend it!

Summary: Great, but no support for certain computer users
Review: I bought this camera as a birthday gift for my husband. We received the camera, used it within two minutes of opening the box, and were immensely impressed. The camera comes with *all* the accessories you need -- including batteries and a case -- and very easy instructions. However, our joy was quickly deflated when I discovered that Polaroid offers no software or support to computer users who have anything but Win 95/98. A trip to the Web site confirmed this, and gave a curt response of: "... There are no drivers for Win NT or Mac." So, now after doing three days of research and finally finding the camera that fulfilled all my wants, I have to either send it back and spend a few hundred dollars more on a camera from a company that recognized something other than Windows (We are out there, you know! ), or I have to invest in software that will read the Polaroid software. Very disappointing... especially on a birthday.

Summary: I agree with Sandy
Review: I had to add to my review. All of what Sandy Gritz said is correct. The camera is even better after I have used it for a month. I purchased a 48mg CompactFlash Card and at the high resolution it can hold 82 pictures. Plan on purchasing rechargeable batteries also. This camera is like all other digital cameras, eats batteries. But don't let that sour you on the Polaroid, it is great. Thanks again for your time.

Summary: Software makes a camera, This on does NOT!
Review: The price was right. The features were great, USB , 4Mg, LCD, Flash, Video out, etc...

Big problems: The SOFTWARE, it will not let you download to a specific directory. It will not let you set the name as you save them off. You have to load all your pictures into a "Polaroid Photo Album" and then go 5 levels deep in windows explorer to find the actual jpeg files.

Polaroid did not write the software so they are no help with it. ArcSoft wrote the software for Polaroid, so they say talk to Polaroid.

Other USB cameras show up as a hard drive in explorer when they are attached. You just drag the files you want off or on. NOT this one.

On occasion, it is nice to load pictures back into the camera to show someone, when a PC is not handy. You CAN NOT load pictures with this software.

Alot of USB cameras support "Video for Windows" and allow the camera to be used as a CAM. Although the camera will show live video in the driver window, it does not support "Video for Windows" so it CAN NOT be used as a CAM.

Also, like other digital cameras, PDC 1100 eats batteries. It seems worse than most.

Anyway price and features DO NOT make a good camera, as I have learned. Oh well.

Summary: Review for Polaroid PDC-1100
Review: A megapixel camera with USB connection for [this price]!(after rebate) I was sold! The USB connection is lightning fast compared to other digital cameras. serial connection. My only gripe is the color quality isn't always that great, but overall the camera is a must buy, especially for web designers!

Summary: Inexperienced Digital User
Review: This is my first camera, so I have no basis for comparison. But I do like it and believe that it is a great deal ($ wise). As yet I am wondering if the digital zoom isn't wasted capacity. It would appear that the photo editor is capable of cropping the picture. There is no help in the manual for attaching photos to email. A frustrating omission, when this was my principal reason for buying. I was able to work through this, however, by reading the FAQ's on Polaroids web site. My compliments to Polaroid for being the only source, that I could find, for not trying to "Rip off" their customers by withholding the AC adapter until the user is forced to purchase it at an extravagant price.

Summary: Digital Camera Kit Comes Complete
Review: I purchased the Polaroid PDC1100 digital camera and would recommend it to anyone. I like the complete package. AC Adapter, USB connecting cable, Camera Case & TV connecting cable are all included. Since purchasing the camera I have spoken to tech. support at Polaroid. They are extremely helpful. But most important is the quality of the pictures you will get with this camera. I have in front of me beautiful printed pictures taken with this camera. If your looking for a moderate priced camera I recommend this Polaroid

Summary: A great camera for the price!
Review: This camera is a great buy for the money with a maximum resolution of 1,152 x 864 pixels and a great LCD monitor. The high resolution for this price range provides a slightly better picture quality than a 35mm. The pictures are quite stunning and detailed. I have one recommendation for anyone buying this camera, buy a 8mb card. The 4mb provided card works fine but only provides 12 pictures on the "high" picture setting(1152 840) and just 6 pics on "super"(1040 1040). So I'd buy at less an 8mb if not 16+mb card. This camera is very simple to use with only one botton controling the menu. The software provided is pretty good and can greatly improve the quality of your pictures. I really enjoy this camera and recommend it for anyone.

Summary: This digital Camera is of very good quality!
Review: The truth I have been surprised positively, the Polaroid PDC 1100, it takes out some pictures of very good quality, and with good options of modifying the resolution, the softwere that brings, is something complex, until It is taken the hand, then it is very good. - It is of highlighting the excellent quality of the LCD display, as well as, the status panel, and the easiness of use of their menus, with a single button of extreme use easiness you can consent to the menus, the truth, this camera is fabulous, and its price a true gift, given the benefits of the same one. - The slack point, is since on the part of Amazon that doesn't recommend accessories as Compact Flash Card , with alone, four megas in the card that it is brings of it manufactures, it doesn't allow to take out many pictures in high resolution.- (Amazon, to put on the piles and to add in the information, the Compact Flash Card recommended, for this surprising product of Polaroid.-

Summary: Not the greatest..
Review: I bought this cause I needed something fast and didn't want to spend a lot of money. The unit ok ok. It eats batteries fast and picture quality is mediocre at best. I should have ponied up the cash for a better camera.
