Summary: Good Starter Camera
Review: Hey Mommies and Daddies

This is a great camera for the kiddies or non techis who are buying a first camera. Make sure to buy digital camera or E-batteries- nonalkaline. The LCD eats batteries like it is going out of style. I purchased some Energizer/Photo batteries that lasted forever. I have a girlfriend who has to see every picture that we take and these batteries came in handy. ALSO be sure to keep the camera in the case. Spring Break sand easily scratches the LCD. Also, the lens is kindof in a poor spot. You have to be careful where your hand is all the time or everypicture will have you mitt in it. The camera works best on 95 and 98 and is useless on NT unless you have the CompactFlash Pigtail. I used to work at RCA.com and was given one, but this is a necessity for this lump of digital fun.. I have used this camera for 2 years and have carried it to 6 countries and all over the states and as long as you have a good computer to download to...no problems. Good luck.

Summary: Where There is a will There is a way!
Review: I brought Rca cds4100 2 years ago I was using Windows 98 then upgrade to Windows Me my camera worked fine When I want to upgrade to Windows XP at first I could'nt use the camera.
But of course I would find a way. You see when I purchased my camera it came with an compact flash card external reader and I used it so I would'nt have to attach the camera to my computer. Here's the information you are seeking! Take your pictures take out the external flash card and put in the reader and you can use it With Windows XP Because the external reader comes up in Windows XP as a drive as it did in 98 and ME. You click on that drive and all the pictures you have taken are displayed. Now it would'nt work with the 8mb card that came with the camera. So I brought a PNY compact flash card 128mb and it works perfectly. I really never like attaching my camera to the computer anyway so this just made it easier. It works fine with Windows Xp If your like me who spent 400.00 for this camera and I was not giving up that easy.I look at it like this I would have to buy another camera and it only cost me 30.00 for the 128mb compact flash card. So I think I got off cheap.

Summary: where is twain
Review: I have had great pictures with the RCA cds4100 digital camera. The pictures are clear and you can opt for a preflash or not,I chose not to. The functions are easy to understand and use.The only problem I have with this item is that when I went to install it on my pc it ask for a twain driver and this was not part of the package. Now before I can download my pictures I have to find a twain driver, what it is ,where to buy it and how much additional it will cost.

Review: I purchased this camera on sale at Radio Shack. It was a good price compared to other digital camera I looked at. It has turned out to be a great camera. I used it to take pictures at my daughters wedding. Yes, I got the super charged batteries and left the LED off and I took well over 300 pictures! The best thing was the software that was included allowed me to make corrections to the photos. I got great pictures and love my RCA digital camera!
