Summary: Wonderful entry-level digital camera
Review: This is the first digital camera that I bought and for the price the picture quality is good at SHQ setting for 1.3 megapixels. Got it just in time for my new baby, and I will be burning a CD of her first photos soon. Even at lower quality settings, which I use for photos I send over the net, and for applications where I do not need that much detail, I still get good results. Only problem I had, which does not reflect on quality of this product, is that I had to buy a 32 MB memory card to store pictures. Hey, you have to buy film when you buy a camera anyway. I only go as large as 4X6 prints, so with a good printer and photo software (not the included Camedia!), you get very good photos to give away. Battery life is excellent but get some rechargeable Nickel Meta Hydrides. While I will be moving up to a higher resolution camera soon, I will keep this camera for a back-up, to lend, or my wife's use.

Summary: Good Camera
Review: Good solid camera. Pics are a little grainy but very good at the highest resolution. But i recomend a 32 mb card at least so you dont lose any pics. The movie mode is good but dont by the camera just for it. Easy to use as i must say it is a very good point and shoot camrera

Summary: okay but I have a question
Review: Can someone explain why they dont put in these cameras a vibration absorver? or is it just the D-370? I know regular cameras usually have that feature today.. the pictures can be fuzzy if youre a person who cant keep his/her hand too steady..

Summary: Little Beauty
Review: Bought myself this for Xmas. It's the second digital camera I have owned and for the money is extremely good value.
The battery 'mileage' is miles better that my previous camera (an Apple Quicktake 150) and the range of features seem well-designed, easily accessible and not too complex for the digital neophyte.
For a camera producing a 1.3meg picture size, the images are very nice - the colour seems good and the focus is acceptable. The shots improve no end when I import them into Photoshop and adjust the hue/saturation etc. Some of my nicest images appear when I convert them to a duotone with a sepia bias. Close up work is also easy and powerful with the macro setting.
A few criticisms - large areas in low light seem to suffer from the pixelated look that characterizes cheaper digital cameras, and the movie feature is something of a waste of time as the image is so grainy.
These however, are small gripes when it comes to the pleasure I have had from my great little camera.

Summary: Beware the Olympus Carrying Case!!! Shame on Olympus!!!!
Review: I'm lucky somebody honest found my Olympus D-370 camera after it was lost due to the crummy carrying case that came with it.

The first time I used it, I attached the Olympus carrying case to my belt and went to the auto show. After I had been there a while, I discovered the camera was missing. Thank God, I had put my name on the camera and received a phone call the next day from the family that found it, and the camera and I are now reunited!!

Although the belt strap on the back of the carrying case looks sturdy, the stitching pokes so many holes in it that the strap is easily torn.

Olympus has promised to repair the case if I send it to them, and I will. Then I'll use a different case. I doubt Olympus would have replaced the entire camera when it was lost due to their defective, shoddy case that comes with the camera.

Do not use this carrying case! Once it is lost, you will have no proof that the loss was the fault of Olympus!!!

Summary: Great Buy
Review: Photos are better than expected, very easy to use, easy to learn to use. You can start using it right out of the box, take great pictures. Recommend getting memory - you're limited to a few shots with the internal memory. 128 Meg Card gives you more than enough to get you started!! That's what I got. USB setup is easy - especially if you have XP. Simple and easy to get your photos on your computer.

Summary: Great first digital camera
Review: I was pleasantly surprised at some of the features available with this camera (mpeg recording in particular). However, I found that viewing existing images and navigating the command menu/structure is a bit cumbersome.

Bottom line, I would recommend it for a first digital camera and would buy it again in the same circumstances.

I also purchased the Viking SSFDC3/32 32MB SmartMedia Card which GREATLY improved the image capacity.

I am pleased with both.

Summary: A great camera for a great price...
Review: I bought this as a present for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He has become "shutter-happy." It takes great quality pictures (good color and detail), and is very user-friendly. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a compact, digital point and shoot camera without having to shell out too much money. The quicktime movie option is really fun. It is great in capturing short, "moving" moments that a photo cannot. You just have to make sure you have enough light.

Summary: Easy to Use
Review: Received this camera as a gift. It is easy to use. With a Smart Card it holds a bundle of pictures so if you were travelling, just bring a bunch of cards along. On the lowest quality (which is still good) the camera hold over 300 pictures. A good buy for the money.

Summary: Great Camera
Review: For a low price, this camera take just as good or better pics as any other digital camera. Only problem that I found was with Windows 98 it gives you trouble uploading the pictures. So I recommend buying a "smart media reader" it works and makes uploading a lot easier.
