Summary: great camera to take whereever.
Review: this is great camera. I've had it for awhile its great to email pictures and and even printing but small pictures are bad. get an MMC card yes you need this for this camera. is fun to do. even seems better than my cusins hi tech camera. so I would recommend this with a MMC card. good luck. its good for first time digital camera.

Summary: You get what you pay for!
Review: I have used this camera for about 2 years. It takes nice pictures for emailing, but they aren't great quality for prints. I OFTEN have problems with the software....

Summary: Doesn't work with Windows 2000
Review: Not a bad camera for the price, but keep in mind that the software for this camera makes windows 2000 take a dump pretty often; it seems to be trying to access the kernel, and in win2000 that means either an automatic restart, or if you've set the option, a blue screen / memory dump. I uninstalled it and my windows 2000 is back to its old consistent loving self. You could try to debug the kernel (windbg) but that requires you to look at assembly code, and that makes for bad dreams. In other words, spend a little more money and get something better.

Summary: Jam Cam 3.0 is good for the price
Review: The camera is good for first time digital users the piturce quality needs improvement but its workable and for the price the software alone is a deal. The camera has two resolution setting with 600 x 800 for 8 pictures and 400 x 600 for 28 picture the r1 and r2 setting and ytou have to careful not to hit Clr on the menu since it will erase you pictures. The rubberize grip feels great and the thunb rest is a grest idea. The self-timer is a pain so I turn mines off but I guess it to taste how to set up the camera. All so you can add a MultiMedia Memory Card to expand you picture capabilty. Currently I have a SanDisk 8 mb card in and can take over 80 pictures regularally. I had a problem using the serial cable with my laptop but the USB cable works great and the software works with my more other digtal cameras as well.

Summary: Only lasted 2 weeks and 2 days
Review: The camera worked okay for 2 weeks and 2 days. The pictures were poor, but the camera was for my six year old, so I didn't care. Then everytime I turned the camera on, it displayed OFF and locked. The company website and packaging list bogus customer service numbers. The BBB lists KBGear as out of business. This was a total waste of money!

Summary: use on windows xp
Review: I'm not interested in reviewing this camera ( I think its OK), but just letting people with one know that it will work with windows xp if you use the serial cable - the downloads take about a minute each, but they DO download.

Summary: This camera sucks!
Review: It is not compatible with Windows XP despite the defunct company's claim on the web site. I spent hours trying to install the drivers to get the software to work, to no avail. Not at all user friendly. Additionally, the company is out of business (wonder why?) so there is no tech support via phone or email. Stay away!

Summary: A GREAT WAY TO GO DIGITAL FOR MINIMUM OUTLAY
Review: I have more than 50 years experience with professional quality cameras and photography, so I feel qualified to give an informed opinion. If you are expecting Leica or Hassleblad digital quality this is not the camera for you. But if you want surprisingly good digital photos to send to friends or to sell stuff on eBay, this is a perfect solution at minimum cost. I liked mine so much I bought a second one.

I understand it isn't compatible with Windows XP. This is not a problem for me because I use the latest iMac (flat screen on a stalk growing out of the top of half of a basketball) loaded with OS 9.6 and OS X, and the JamCam works flawlessly.

Most of the problems I'm reading about in reviews occur because the owners haven't bothered to read the manual. For example, battery life isn't a problem if you just follow the instructions and turn off the camera after use (..duhhhh!...) I've taken more than 40 shots on my first battery and it's still going strong.

Download the instruction manual, print it out, and READ IT. The associated "Most Frequently asked Questions and answers" should also be printed out because this list clarifies things not covered clearly in the manual. If you don't read the manual and most frequently asked questions you won't know how to use the camera properly and you will be disappointed. 'Nuff said.

You can't beat this little digital camera without spending big bucks. Quality of the shots is surprisingly good, even on printouts. Hope this helps.

Summary: Good deal for the [money] but doesn't work with Windows XP
Review: This camera was a good deal when we got it. It suited our purposes just fine. Taking quick pictures to upload to the internet or send over an e-mail. Picture quality is not great if trying to blow up a pic or print it out, but that was expected for the price. However, we upgraded our operating system from Windows 98 to Windows XP and suddenly the program could no longer detect the camera. Downloaded the new XP compatible drivers and it still doesn't work. Thank goodness the kids computer has Windows 98 still and we can use it on there, but if it didn't...waste of my money.

I would say not to buy this camera unless you plan on never upgrading past Windows 98.
