Summary: On a tight budget? This camera is perfect for you!
Review: If you are wanting a digital camera & are working with a tight budget this is the camera for you. This camera is pretty basic point & shoot. It is very easy to use. For a lower resolution type camera the picture quality isn't bad. My uses are for web pages & emails & for the kids to have fun with. It's perfect for my needs. It only stores 8 hi resolution pictures or 28 lo resolution, so I highly reccomend that you buy a Multimedia card. I got a 32mb card & it holds 130 pictures on hi res & 443 on low. The camera works best outdoors, or indoors if you have lots of light, The closer you are to your object the better. It takes a 9v battery & one of my concerns was how long it would last. I'm on my second battery now & have taken at least 300 pictures. The software included is very easy to use. If you've read other reviews about the problems with the drivers they have taken care of this & the updated software will be on your disc, it was on mine. I called cust. service about the brands of mmc you can use & they took approx 15 seconds to answer the phone. That's incredible! I'm used to waiting forever! The camera does work with other mmc cards not just sandisc. I got a Simple technology card for about 1/2 the price & it works great! shop around & you can get a steal on the mmc card! The camera is basic, but for the price it can't be beat!!!

Summary: Help for you JamCam Users Out There
Review: I know the company has went out of business and the cd is useless but somebody has created the site http://www.thejamcam.com/ for all the drivers and software. This camera is a good starter camera and definently recommended. One bad thing about it is that it drains up the 9v battery quickly while using the flash frequently.

Summary: Jam Cam company not reliable
Review: I purchested a Jam Cam about 1 year ago and it was working fine and then something went wrong with the program--It will not download my pictures anymore. I have tried to contact JamCam and the sight just tells me it is for Sale. I have asked on the internet and read some reviews for this and they are all in the same boat as me. I would not recomment this camera to anyone for any price and you should be ashamed to even advertise this product, because there is no way to contact them if something is wrong.

Summary: Mediocre camera, terrible software/ support
Review: This camera is so basic that it's not even worth the $23 some odd dollars that you pay for it. Save your money and purcahse something better. This, however, is not the main problem. I got this camera for free from a company that I do business with, so I didn't even spend one penny for it and I am still frustrated (and mad) enough to take the time to write a review. The software disk that came with it is WORTHLESS!! It does not function with windows 2000 or XP. It also may not function with other versions like ME or 98SE. When you call the customer support number found in the instruction booklet, you get a message that the number is no longer valid. If you try to go to the website that is in the instruction booklet (jamonline.com or jamcam.jamonline.com) you get junk sites. Try them and see for yourself! So what the H ell are you supposed to do to get this piece of junk to work on your computer so that you can download the pictures that you've taken?? Where is the support?? I have three words for you when it comes to this camera, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK! That's it! Save your 23 bucks and go buy a nice chinese dinner for you and whoever you were thinking of buying this camera for.

Summary: do not purchase this camera
Review: the quality is less than stellar(to put it very nicely). The batteries die really quick too. I got it as a gift but if you are debating on whether or not you should? dont buy it. I would definitely save up and buy another camera. You can buy it on ebay for $5 -10...which is somewhat worth the price.

hope I helped.

Summary: Very Simple and Unique Obsolete Digital Camera
Review: After a lot of reasearch, I picked up this camera, used, for $18. I knew that it was a very simple model, initially aimed at youth, but oddly containing an expansion port. And with that expansion port, I added an additional 32 megs of memory. So at high quality, which is only 640x480 on this unit, I can take 130 pictures at a time.

Now, before you start thinking this is the best thing you ever saw, it is very simple. If you're used to your Olympus Stylus not letting you take lousy pictures, this one will let you take those lousy pictures. It's greatest weakness is backlighting, but if you can alter the gamma with your software (and the stuff that comes with it is that standard dumbed down garbage) you'll be able to compensate.

Great for playing with, taking pictures of the cats, cars, and sunsets. But don't do the wedding photos with this one. But by adding a $10 32 meg expansion, you have much more capacity than many of the low end ilk. And if you want smaller, look up the Philips Key007.

Summary: DO NOT BUY!!!!
Review: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

The only reason I rated this one star is because there was no -10 stars choice. The company is out of business. No suppport. How can Amazon continue to sell this junk??????????
