Summary: great keychain if you have lots of batteries with you
Review: well the first time i bought this it broke cause my friend was using it and held down the button too long. but i just loved how cheap and small it was i bought another one and it works fine. i made it my keychain that i take to school everyday so when i have those "man i wish i had a camera with me right now" moments i coudl just pull out my keychain. however it uses a lot of the battery. everytime i take pictures for a whole day i have to put a new battery. but hey for 40 dollars i took many memorable pictures so no biggie its worth 40 bucks. just buy a BIG pack of AAA batteries with it.

Summary: It's so cute you want to eat it up.........
Review: i bought this to take pictures for stuff i sell for auctions..and so far it has served it's purpose. It takes good pictures as long as you have plenty of light and don't move too much. If you move a lil' while taking the picture it'll become fuzzy. But this thing is so tiny..it's adorable i can take it anywhere. I recommend it if you just need something to take not so important pictures.

Summary: good toy
Review: I bought this as a toy based on the price. One of the reviews said there is a software problem if your running XP. I'm running XP and have had no problems. Resolution is good if conditions are good. i.e. good lighting (there is no flash but it does give an option for indoor or outdoor shooting), subject not moving and you aren't interested in high detail. I have found that the best pictures are taken outside on a sunny day where the subject is at a distance of at least 6 feet. Indoor shooting in picture or streaming mode is poor regardless of the indoor shooting option. Downloading to your computer is very easy via the included software. The battery problems stated by other reviwers are a problem. Even if you have erased all your stored data, the unit still drains the battery. Also, making streaming video really knocks the crap out of the single AAA battery required. If you continually make video clips ( I think about 2 minutes length to max out the memory) and download them, you can kill it in less than an hour. Having said all that, you get what you pay for. Like I said, it is a good toy. WARNING!! It is good enough to make you want to sink a chunk of money into a higher end camera.

Summary: My SiPix, Pix of the day.
Review: I carry my camera daily, recording pictures of my travels; somewhat like a Pictorial Diary. It should be downloaded daily and the battery watched closely. Very small, compact & convienent.

Summary: Right Idea, Wrong Execution
Review: The Blink II would be great for those wanting a basic digital camera who realize the limitations thereof. The major flaw with this camera is the RAM memory. Thus, it requires a constant power source (even when off) to store pics in its memory. I have lost many photos on account of a battery going dead before I could get to my computer.

SiPix assumes the customer has the technical savvy to conclude a constant power source is required. However, such an assumption is counterintuitive considering the device. Indeed the salesman, confounded by the camera's "behaviour" exchanged it for another.

The need to download photos before the battery is drained defeats the purpose. The idea is portability. The Blink II requires your computer be at hand to download photos before the camera battery goes dead. Thus, the the Blink II is little better than a webcam.

Summary: I'd like to give it 0 stars
Review: What a nightmarish piece of nonsense. My son received it as a gift before he went to England. He took about 100 pictures and suddenly they were gone. My guess, from reading other reviews from people with the same camera, is that the battery died with no warning and all of the photos disappeared. My son will be crushed when he learns that everything is gone (considering he now has nothing to show for his school report). I'm trying to decide whether it would be more fun to stomp up and down on this piece of garbage or send it back to the company with a nasty note. Perhaps I'll do both.

Summary: Not bad for its price
Review: If you want a real digital camera, don't be a cheapo and get a better one for more than $200. But if you just want a versatile camera to snap some low resolution pictures every once in a while, then this is your camera (and you'll spend less than $40). It also works as a webcam, so my best suggestion is: if you are looking for a webcam, buy the blink camera and you'll also have a webcam.

Warnings: this camera doesn't have a flash, so it will take pictures ONLY during the daytime or in places with LOTS of light. Don't even bother using it indoors, it will not work 9 out of 10 times.

Summary: Could have been an awesome Camera
Review: This little camera could have been amazing. I know they have to keep costs down, but it seems they used a lens that gave just enough image quality to be barely acceptable and no more. If you resize the 640x480 images down to 320x240 and apply a little sharpening then they're not half bad, but the idea is to have them like that at the full 640x480. Another problem is the volatile memory. They really need flash memory, since you can almost guarantee that the camera will crash and lose that once in a lifetime shot. One good thing is that it does allow you some time to change the battery should it run out. I gave it three stars since as long as you know the limitations it can be a fun camera.
