Summary: I bought two!
Review: This is a nice little camera for the price. I bought one for my niece last Christmas. Not having any previous experience with digital cameras, I really didn't know what to expect. We used, and experimented with it on New Years Eve, taking pictures and short movies, and we were very pleased with the results. When I noticed that Amazon[.com] had it on sale, I bought one for myself. The software and USB cable that come with the camera work just fine for starters, but I prefer to use the Compact Flash card (I have a 128 meg), a reader, and my own photo editing software. I would recommend getting a battery charger with at least four AA batteries (this camera uses two). True, there is no LCD display for photo preview, but I never needed one on my film camera, so it's no big deal to me. Although the camera is easy to use, the indicator icons on the LCD display are VERY tiny and may take some getting used to. Other features of this camera are video output for viewing photos on TV, (cable included), web cam, tripod mount, self-timer, and flash with two modes. This camera is compact, and easily fits in a shirt pocket. I would recommend it to the occasional user who wants to try digital photography, but not ready to shell out big bucks.
