Description:
The Kodak DC290 digital camera offers some of the most sophisticated features available on a consumer digital camera. While it's no lightweight, the DC290 can offer you quite a bit if you need professional-level quality and customization. It delivers two-megapixel resolution (1,792 x 1,200) for fine detail even on large image sizes--plus it lets you take uncompressed TIFF images for no-loss photo quality. It also lets you record and play back audio clips. It uses Kodak's easy-to-use menu system, one of the most intuitive we've seen in the digital camera realm. The Kodak DC290 includes a 3x optical/2x digital zoom. The built-in flash comes with four modes, including red-eye reduction. Special camera modes include time lapse and burst modes as well as auto and manual exposure settings. The Digita scripting feature gives you additional control and customization--you can use it to add text and sound, catalog pictures, and adjust color balance and contrast. The Kodak DC290 has a large, bright 2-inch LCD monitor and includes a generous 16 MB CompactFlash memory card. The camera supports USB connectivity for fast, cross-platform downloads. It comes with 4 AA batteries and an AC adapter; however, like all digital cameras, it drains batteries quickly. We recommend investing in a set of rechargeables.
