Summary: Almost Perfect!!!
Review: I recently purchased the PDC 640 Plus as a replacement for my Kodak EZ200.
I am very pleased with the camera in general, but there are a few things that keep it short of perfection.

PROS
8 MB Card holds a lot of pictures
Good picture quality (if set on highest resolution)
Auto Focus Lens
Crisp, Clear LCD Screen
Great battery life
Very easy to use (you hardly have to read the manual)

CONS
You cannot add a Smart Media card higher than 8 MB (8 MB cards are very hard to find.)
It takes about 10 seconds to warm up when you first turn it on
Flash could be better (though it works in most cases)
Pictures look distorted when displayed on TV screen
Serial cable transfer is SLOW (but you can always get an adapter)
Software is worth nothing (I use Adobe instead)

Overall, I think that this camera is a must for anyone looking to buy a starter camera that is within their budget.

Summary: Snap and go, thank you, Polaroid for an affordable camera
Review: I wanted a digital camera for simple shots. I did not expect or desire professional perfect pictures, but I have been amazed at the quality and the color that I have acheived with this camera. I have order two more for family gifts. I did find that I needed to carry extra batteries, as I had forgotten to charge the ones in the camera.

I have enhanced the size, and color by using contrast on my computer when I felt might be necessary. Everyone with whom I have shared my pictures suggested I might send them into Polaroid or some contest. They were very surprised at the color quality and the clarity of the pictures since I hadn't made any changes to the settings. I am not a person to fiddle with a lot of buttons. I took them with one or two stars and without a flash.

Snap and run that's me. I love this little camera and find those who are displeased expect more than they purchased.

I write this at my own choosing and have no reason to state anything that would influence anyone to purchase anything.

I have a friend who has this camera and I enjoyed hers while we made a drive through the mountains and decided to purchase one. It was while the olympics were here and I could not find one anywhere, so I went online and purchased it there.

Summary: Good beginner camera
Review: I've been using this digital camera for several years. I purchased it remanufactured from a closeout store. Even though I've had to exchange it a couple of times, it's been a good camera. It is very easy to use and doesn't suck down batteries like some cameras do. I use it to e-mail family and friend's pictures and for eBay listings. It has served its purpose well.

Summary: Very low quality pictures
Review: If you're looking for a digital camera for beginners this camera might be nice for you but don't expect great quality pictures. Printing and enlarging the photos renders them extremely blurry. Even when printing small prints the quality isn't much better. If you are only interested in using the pictures from this camera on your computer then you might find this camera better suited for you.

The batteries drain very quickly. Distance shots are very poor. The camera does have a nice look to it and it feels good in the hand. Operation is fairly simple. It does have a screen in the back to view photos. The software that comes with the camera is actually better than the camera. I would suggest that this camera be given to a young person just starting out in the digital photo game. Adults may find this camera very disappointing.

Summary: Very pleased with this camera
Review: Just received this camera for Christmas and I love it! I happen to have a alkaline battery charger that I can use for the ones that came with the camera. I may purchase the other type rechargables later though.I personally like having the AC adapter to use for inhome use, as it saves batteries. I like the quality of the pictures. At first some were too dark, no matter what I did with the lighting, till I moved the lens selecting button to the middle or to the far right. Now the pictures are very nice. I don't care for the software program that is supplied. I want to save my pictures onto floppy disks and don't like how I have to do that with the "Photo Max Image Maker", so I use Paint Shop Pro for saving. Also, had a bit of trouble getting the "PC" message in the status panel and the beep when hooking up to transfer the images from camera to the album the first time. But once I got that hurddle crossed, it IS easy. I like that the pictures are already .jpg compressed for easy use in emailing. Although the manual leaves a lot to be desired, I highly recommend this camera kit, as the price is good, the camera is easy to use, and the picture quality is very good.

Summary: Polaroid Photo Max PDC 640 Plus Digital Camera Creative Kit
Review: Keep in mind while your reading my review that this is my first digital camera so, i have nothing to compare it to.

*QUALITY OF PICTURES*
When I first got the camera I took a picture of my friends tattoo. I had it set to the highest level of quality, and enlarged it a bit before printing. From far away the print out looked very detailed and clear. But if you take a close look you can see that it is quite blurry, although it's not very noticable at first glance. If you want to get this camera I recomend it for web site and sending pictures through e-mail only. Don't replace your film camera with it, because the quality isn't as good.

*PROBLEMS*
-The batteries will go dead rapidly. You can only have it left on for about half an hour at a time, before they're completely dead and need rest.
-The photo editing software that came with the camera gave me problems. It worked for about a week, and then it wouldn't let me download pictures, let alone edit them.

*PERKS*
-Download time is considerably fast, it takes about 30 seconds per picture.
-It has an option where you can display your pictures on your TV (although I have tried numerous times and never have gotten it to work)
-It has a tripod socket, allowing you to take less blurry pictures because the camera will be still (doesn't come with the tripod though)
-It has 3 distance settings, allowing you to shoot anywhere from .5 ft through 10 ft.
-It has 4 image quality seetings. With the lowest quality you can store 330 pictures, and with the highest you can store 45 images.
-It has 4 flash settings. No flash, Red eye reduction, Autoflash, and Fill flash (which fires for every single picture.
-It has a self timer.
-It has an LCD screen, which allows you to look at all, or just one of the pictures you have previously taken. If you don't like how it turned out you can delete it to make room for other pictures.

All in all I think this camera is well worth the money if your a beginer looking to have some fun with a camera. I only use this camera if I am making a web page, sending pics through e-mail, or taking a picture I know I am going to need 3 or 4 copies of. But for the rest of the time I use my old fashioned film camera.

Summary: Be careful with memory choices
Review: Overall, this is a good camera. I've owned one since they came out several years ago. Recently, I tried to buy a memory upgrade for it and bought a 32MB SmartMedia card from an online auction. Buyer be warned, this thing only holds up to a SmartMedia 8MB 3.3V SSFDC card. These are very hard to find at those specs. ...
