Rating: Summary: There are better cams for the money Review: I bought this camera about 5 years back. I'm really surprised they are still selling something this antiquated. With only 0.3 megapixles it is not a good camera if you intend to print out the images. I purchased it for web work and it does a decent job but even with the 72dpi resolution you get from your monitor shows to many flaws in the image. It comes out to grainy and the colors of people are often to orange/red. The software often locks up and tells you it can't complete the action and you have to hit the retry button on every image to get the pictures off the camera. It does that on Win98 and my W2K boxes. All in all I would suggest spending the money on another camera. Polaroid does make some good cameras but this one is really past it's time.
Rating: Summary: Well-Pleased Review: I bought this camera as a Christmas gift for a family member. It is well worth the price paid. It is very easy to use and it's also easy to download pictures to a PC (once you install the software and realize you must first turn off your computer before connecting the camera - then turn on the camera, followed by turning on the computer). The TV connection is very helpful in selecting pictures to keep and those to delete. It is also nice to take to family gatherings and take the small TV connector with you to share your pictures with your family. It's a lot of fun to manipulate your pictures with the various options available on the software.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed in Colorado Review: I bought this camera as a Christmas gift for my husband. Luckily I ordered early because I had to return it twice. The first time it worked for a few days before experiencing an internal error - it flashed an error code repeatedly and with no explanation in the user's manual what the code meant, I had to call technical support. I was advised to return it to Amazon, and did. Although they were helpful, the replacement was backordered for over a month. When it finally arrived, it was defective right out of the box! I finally exchanged it at a local store. Now that I have one that works, I am relatively pleased with it (although the software locks up occasionally) but don't think the camera was worth all that effort. If you choose this one, brace yourself for a hassle before finally getting it to work.
Rating: Summary: Good pics, good camera for the money Review: I bought this camera for my sister as a birthday present. She was excited and had the camera up and running in about 15mins. The instructions were easy for her to read. She sent me pics today and they were very nice! She said the only drawback was that the instructions did not explain how to email the pics. Only how to install the software. She eventually figured it out. Good first cam for the money. I am now getting the same one for myself.
Rating: Summary: Great Camera For The Price! Review: I came by my camera through an auction so I paid quite a few bucks less than the asking price [....] Also my camera was refurbished through Polaroid. Nonetheless I found this camera a great buy for the money. It carries a lot of features not found in other cameras in it's price range. I use mine mainly for uploading shots for auctions or sending pics to friends. The quality of the shot when using 640 x 480 is pretty good ... anything less and the shots tend to run dark even with flash. I found the LCD screen very useful for viewing pics and deciding which to keep and which to delete. You can also set up your shot through the LCD screen which is nice but is a surefire way to consume your battery life. This camera receives four stars in my book because I had minor difficulties uploadng my pics from the camera to my PC. Polaroid customer service was very nice and knowledgeable. Apparently I had a bad cable. I have since rec'd the new cable and it works fine. The only negative atributes of this camera is the outrageous battery consumption and the fact that it utilizes a serial port.
Rating: Summary: A great camera Review: I had have this camera for about a year, and some of my grown children have used it and compared it to the cameras they have at work and it takes a much picture that some that cost in the thousands of dollars. This is a great price because I bought mine when they first came out and paid [price] for it and though it was a bargain. I have purchased this camera for one of my children for Christmas. I print mky own pictures and they are great. Keep up the good work Polorid!!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLLENT CAMERA Review: I have had this camera for 4 years. I *LOVE* it... It is the only digital camera I have owned but it's the only one I believe I'll have. It is *SO* user friendly... It stays on my desk next to my computer at all times. I just need to invest in rechargeable batteries w/ a charger and I'll be set. It actually needs a 5+++ rating
Rating: Summary: Best buy for the money*** Review: I just bought my first digital camera and i am very happy with it. It has everything that i've needed and this camera and its picture quality is very close to the mid-priced cameras out there or maybe even better. i highly recommand this for the beginners who do not need all the little fancy extra stuff that you won't even use unless you are a pro or something. i gave it a 5 star because it well deserve it.
Rating: Summary: Had it one day, I am returning it. Review: I just bought this camera and played for it all day trying to get the pictures to come out right. Nothing helped, the pictures look like [bad]. Anothing thing that [is wrong] with this camera is that it uses a serial cable to connect to your computer. What does this mean to non-techie people? You have to power your computer down, then connect the camera, and then power your computer up each time you want to download the pictures. There's a reason nobody uses serial ports anymore, it's 5 year old technology. Don't get a camera unless it has USB connection and I would strongly advise you not to waste your money on this camera.
Rating: Summary: Good camera bad service Review: I just bought this camera for the holidays the quality of the pictures is great and when you display the pictures in the tv set looks very good. But when I tried to connect the camera to the pc it didn't work looks like the port at the camera or the cable aren't working. When I brought it to the dealer (Multimax Panama City) they told me that they can give a new one and that I have to turn it to the customer service for diagnostics it's been almost a week, Polaroid should have better representatives so we, the customers can really appreciate the quality of your product. Thanks
