Rating: Summary: Worthless, ... terrible battery life and software Review: Simply put, this camera is ... I should have known better than to purchase a no-name camera. I have been using digital cameras for about five years for work, so I know how one should work. The battery life on this camera is about 24 hours of taking shots (I only got 12). I can get almost two weeks from our Olympus at work. This is not, repeat not, with the generic included batteries but rather name brand digital designed batteries that I purchased beforehand. Two batteries is simply not enough for a digital camera. The included "award winning software" was probably only awarded by SiPix. Cumbersome on screen review of pictures by changing the buttons is archaic. You are better off buying lower pixel but name brand camera. Very disappointed. Don't waste your time and money.
Rating: Summary: Forget the brand. Review: SIPIX?, I never ever listen about that brand, and I confess, that was my unique "but" before buy the camera. I must to say that it's and excellent camera (in resume). The pictures that it take have an amazing resolution (you have 2048 x 1536 in fine mode, when probably your screen is 800 x 600). Also I bought a 256 MB Compact Flash memory card (SIPIX say that they didn't try a CF more than 128 MB, but it tried it and it's really works very well!). Now I can take more than 1500 pictures and make a 45 min. video with all my memory. Why 4 stars and not 5?. Ok, well, it's true that the big problem (like in all the digital cameras) are the batteries. The alkaline AA's are just candies for the SIPIX 3300 and works for 2 hours. But, I buy a NiMH rechargeable batteries an woalá!, batteries for a week. Also you must to buy a battery charger ($30 in Amazon). Believe me; the energy problem was completely solved. I'm really happy with this camera. Just forget the brand, It doesn't matter really. Good camera, excellent price ($119 for a 3.3 megapixels, come on!), excellent pictures, hi quality video recording. You don't need more, or are you expecting to win a Pulitzer?. That camera is one of the best businesses I did.

Rating: Summary: Just about what would have expected Review: Sure it doesn't offer a lot of the fancy features like other higher priced digital cameras, but it does pretty much what I needed which were the basic stuff. And the 3 meg pixels is real. Where else can you get a brand new 3 MP digital camera for this price? At the time I bought it I thought it's the cheapest 3 MP digital camera I could ever find, but now Amazon has dropped the price by $20 more! That sucks a little bit. Some minuses that I find about this camera: #1. Rechargeable batteries definitely required, but then again I heard that's the problem for all or most digital cameras, but this one seems to chew through even the rechargeable batteries real fast. 2 NiMH batteries lasted about 35 shots for me without flashlight. And I set the camera to turn itself off automatically when idle for 3 minutes. #2. The LCD is pretty much rendered useless (unviewable) outdoors wherever it's slightly brighter. #3. Manual only in a downloadable PDF file, this is actually not a big problem for me since I only wanted to do the simple basic stuff with this camera, therefore after the first few times I rarely needed to refer to the user manual again. Camera does come with a paper Quick Start Guide. Overall this is a pretty good quality digital camera, takes better pictures indoors than outdoors. I am happy with what I got for the price. It's fine as your first digital camera if you just want to test the water and not want to spend a large sum on it just yet, which was my case.
Rating: Summary: camera is ok!!..software [sucks!!!] Review: the camera is good, but the software is not compatible with some pc's.the manufacturer doesn;t send the right info.to download your pictures in your pc.i was very dissapointed and i don't recommend it unless they send you the right software!! watch out for this [product!!!]
Rating: Summary: SIPIX SC-3300 DIGITAL CAMERA Review: The camera takes great pictures and is fairly easy to use once you print out the fifty six page manual. Which is ok, and not a hinderance. One does not have to print it out to use the camera. The camera is a little tough on batteries. I was told by a support staffer that you could not use rechargables but, on the spec sheet it says that nmh's are ok. i will give them a try. have only had the camera three days. My biggest dissapointment is that sipix does not supply an ac adapter. i was told to go to radio shack and get one. radio shack had a universial that worked but, the jack will not stay in place so it is worthless. so i am forced to buy a card reader to download on to my pc and spend, spend and spend on batteries. i will most likely return the camera ...
Rating: Summary: Functionality & Affordability Review: This camera has great features for the price. It does use a lot of regular batteries. I suggest using NiMH AA Batteries. Also, because the added features it would be good to go ahead and purchase at least one 128mb compactFlash card. For those of you needing an AC adapter, try using a Universal AC Adapter, which can be found in most places.
Rating: Summary: good bang for your buck Review: This camera is a great value. Lots of bells and whistles at a value price. Basic use is a breeze and takes crisp clear pictures. Highly recommend a battery charger, only takes 2 AA but i used one entirely with 5 pictures and 1 flash shot. Easy to download pictures to computer.
Rating: Summary: Sipix sc3300 Review: This camera overall is brilliant, really clear pictures and brilliant features such as the cf card slot. It is really easy to load into my computer and came with grat software and the 3.3 MP makes it really good value. The only thing that stopped it getting five stars is it's battery life. I really do recommend that you buy rechargeable batteries for it and if you intend on taking it on a day out then do take a spare set. Apart from that the camera is great!
