Summary: I loved it
Review: I just love my little Vivicam 10. My pictures were clear and crisp. The camara is easy and fun to use. The fact that it turns off if not used continually is a draw back but for the price I give it four stars. No film to buy, no developing charges, such a deal

Summary: dont buy this camera/ dissapointed customer
Review: I recently bought this camera to show off to my friends. the color look soo good, also the small size. Instead I got laugh at. I was not impressed with its performance. Even though I got it for free I should not have kept it. I went to a carshow and took some pictures and it come out dissorted and the keep shutting of after 30 seconds. When im about to take some good poses I have to turn it on again and miss the opportunity.

Summary: annoying little camera
Review: I recieved this camera as a gift at Christmas. It shuts itself off after 60 seconds, not 30; but that is still too soon. Most people taking snapshots don't snap one off every minute, so it invariably shut off just before I was getting ready to look for another shot. Trying to take pics at my brother's wedding---(ARGH!!). Every time you scroll through the menu( 12 different menu choices just to set it up for indoor + flash !!!) to set it up it beeps at EVERY push of the button, I got a lot of annoyed looks. The software that came with it never would download to my pc. If I hadn't had another program from Adobe I never would have been able to look at my pics. Downloading pics to your pc is super easy--just hook up the usb cable,(so far the only thing they did right with this camera)usb hookups on both ends, so it's idiot proof. Picture quality is ok for snapshots and for e-mailing pics, but my pics were ALL OFF CENTER! Maybe a good camera for a kid to start with, but it can be frustrating to use. All in all--YUK! Don't waste your money.

Summary: Difficult to Operate as Ready-to-Shoot Camera
Review: I returned the camera after trying it out for a day at Church because the camera kept turning itself off when not used within 30 seconds of programming the "mode" of the camera, requiring reprogramming again before it could be used again. If you are waiting for that perfect shot, it had better come quickly, else you loose the picture opportunity since the camera will turn off and you will have to reprogram the mode, which is not a quick task (unless you want the outdoor/cloudy mode, which is the default mode when turned on). If I am overlooking something, somebody please let me know! It did not seem like there was any way of preventing the camera from automatically turning itself off within 30 seconds of non-use, which severely limits the usefulness of the camera! The owners manual is very sketchy and just covers basic functions.

Otherwise, the camera is great! Great value for the money! The camera is well made and has the rubbery feel of more expensive cameras. It is too bad that the manufacturer built in the quick auto off to save the battery. What about the usefulness of the camera? It should be on for at least 5 minutes (or adjustable). Several of the pictures came out great. If it was not for the quick auto off problem I experienced, I would have kept the camera and given it five (5) stars.

Summary: In this case, cheap just ain't worth it
Review: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Not to kids, not to adults who just want a quick-and-dirty way to get images on the web. That was my goal in buying this camera, but it didn't take me long to go after a refund.

Indoors, the pictures are way too dark, even with the flash. The power button worked only half the time, but photos came out fuzzy every time.

When I took it in for a refund, the woman at the counter said, "Wow. This must be the one to return." I asked, "So I'm not the only one?" And she said, "No way."

That was enough for me.

Summary: Awesome Camera!
Review: I've never had a digital camera before, so i was totally unaware of what all i should expect. But this just completely blew me away! Over 50 high-resolution pictures, minutes of video footage, and diffrent modes for every type of outdoor/indoor settings! This is my fifth day of owning it, and im still learning new things. I'd recomend this to any age of photographer, only watch out for the batt-low symbol cause this camera sure eats em' up.

Summary: Don't waste your money on this camera!
Review: On Christmas day, my brother-in-law (who heads a computer department at a nearby college) tried to hook the camera to his computer and retrieve the photos so we could look at them. He couldn't get it to work right. He didn't spend a lot of time on it, but he shouldn't have had to. He thought there might be something wrong with his computer, so I brought it home and hooked it up to mine. I got the same results-even after spending a lot of time trying to get it to work.
This camera has beeen a complete nightmare. I had nothing but trouble with it. I'm not an idiot. I followed the directions to the letter. When that didn't work, I tried all the Help options for installing it. I got further that way, but still to no avail. I am smart enough to hook up a USB cable. I've hooked up everything else that is on my computer and it all works great. This only frustrated me and deleted my Christmas photos in the process.
I read some of the other reviews for this item that were positive. I suppose this is one of those items where some are defective and some work fine. My advice is, "Don't risk it!"

Summary: Not as durable as expected
Review: The camera broke after a week of use. The camera won't turn on at all. The photographs were fine, easy to use with the enclosed software. I am a little disappointed with the built in flash. It takes a lot of button pushing through the menu to get it to work.

Summary: This digital camera should have been so much better.
Review: This camera is poorly designed.

1. with the view finder and lens on the left side (when viewed from the back) it is nothing uncommon to pick up the camera and place your fingers on the view finder or lens.

2. the software to view the pictures in memory will only show thumbnail images, making it difficult to select the best quality pictires to send to the computer.

3. the Arcsoft software that is used to view the pictures full screen or save to disk as a .JPG or other formats is no better than the software to transfer the pictures to the computer. You can view the picture about 50% normal size, but if you want to view it full screen then save it to disk, you have to expand the picture. click the mouse to go back to the software then click save before you can save the image.

3. This camera only has two modes.

a. 320x200 (if memory serves) ( was able to take 167 photos in this mode before filling up the memory.

b. 640x480 I was able to take 51 photos in this mode before filling up the memory.

3. this camera does not allow you to see the pictures before connecting it to the computer at all.

4. this camera does not offer a zoom feature at all.

5. there is no way to add additional memory.

This camera DOES have some good features.

1. the USB port to transfer the pictures to the computer is quick.

2. this camera has MANY different modes of operation.

a. take photos when it is sunny, overcast, inside a well lighted room, inside a darker room.

b. DOES have a built in strobe, so you can take photos just about any time. The two Pencam digital cameras I looked at did not have a strobe at all, and this camera was less expensive than both of those.

c. Take one photo after another (about every 1/2 a second)

d. Auto timer so you can get in the photo too.

e. This camera uses two AA batteries that can be bought almost anyhere.

If you want a point and shoot camera, or want to use pictures in auctions this camera will serve you well.

If you want the ability to zoom in, take pictures of higher resolution, or see what you are going to get before plugging in the USB port, then view the better quality digital cameras such as the Canon, Minolta, or Olympus offerings (I picked these brands because I have had success with these brands of 35 mm cameras, and I know the optics are good.
