Summary: Love the D-510!
Review: I opened my D-510 last night and took about 75 pictures today. My first impression is that it's a wonderful digital camera in keeping with my prior experience with Olympus film cameras. Picture quality, expecially photo colors are wonderful. I would not recommend the camera to someone who must have simplicity. While I quickly learned how to use the camera, I have extensive camera experience. The written documentation enclosed with the camera is minimal. While I had the camera operating within minutes, downloading photos to my PC did not go so well. The necessary drivers did not appear on my PC. I had to call the Olympus 800 number. The technical help I received was excellent and the wait time was short. One point - the 800 # message said that I might have a 20 minute wait. I actually only had to wait about two minutes. One of my relatives saw the pictures the camera took today. She's already ordered a D-510 for herself!

Review: This is the second digital I have owned. The first was also an Olympus, a 1.3 megapixel. This is twice the camera if not more. The features are better, the picture clearer. This is a great camera and worth the money. Only 1 feature I do not like, that is that you have to close the lens barrier (shut the camera off) then turn on the monitor to review pictures already taken. A bit "time consuming" especially when that awesome shot comes up and goes away before you can shut the monitor off and turn the camera back on, by then the awesome shot may be gone.

Summary: My First Digital Camera
Review: This was my first entry into digital cameras. After research (talking with other digital camera owners, looking at specs, etc)I made the plunge with the D-510 Value Package. Turns out to be a good choice as I was able to immediately take good photos and most importantly download them easily. While I found the instruction manuel skimpy, it was still fairly easy to learn the ropes. Only thing I don't like is it is difficult to easily slid open the lens cover.

Summary: Read reference manual thoroughly for best picture.
Review: You must read the reference manual thoroughly located in CDROM to have best picture quality. Tip : It is useful to utilize half-pressed shutter button mode before taking pictures. Press shutter button very lightly and hold. (see manual for details)
Use high current-hour capacity battery for outdoor pictures.
Make yourself familiar with battery life cycle trends. Battery may die more quickly in continuous monitor mode and flash light.
I think D-510zoom is best buy for the price, but do not expect highend quality. Sorry for bad english.

Summary: Great Value
Review: I've owned this camera since August of 2001. I've yet to see a camera with the features this one has anywhere near this price point. The owners manual is weak with information, but the product has an easy learning curve. Two thumbs up.

Summary: Excellent camera
Review: If you want point and shoot or you want to fool around with the settings, this camera is excellent. I did a lot of research on what to buy and am very happy with the 510-Z. Print quality is excellent and the accompanying software is easy to use.

Summary: A Great Camera For Everyday Photography
Review: Ease of use, compact size and excellant picture quality make this a great choice for the average user. The USB AutoConnect feature makes downloading and printing pictures a piece of cake. You will need to use rechargeable batteries, regular batteries will only last a few hours.

Summary: LOVE IT
Review: The D-510 was debated on for a long time before I decided it was the best for the bucks. I was right. Perfect size, great photos. Muchto learn about this little camera but so far I couldn't be happier. I have Windows ME and getting the pictures is a snap! Purchase more batteries! You will definately need them!

Summary: Worth Every Penny!
Review: I can't say how impressed I am with this camera. I carry it everywhere. It takes the best digital photos and even at its lowest resolution settings, the photos are still great for printing. It's also really easy to use. Like the brochure says, point, zoom, click and shoot! The only problem is, I lost the USB connector cable that comes with the camera and being a special USB cable made only for this model I could not find a replacement anywhere, even in the Olympus site.
