Summary: cute and sharp
Review: I searched a lot among its peers and had second thoughts for it looked cheaper. It's been 2 months since my purchase and I am amazed by the quality of the pictures. You can see the pores a person's face or you can totally reproduce print pictures by taking their pictures in the close up "macro" mode. Works fantastic under any light. Looks way cuter and sharper than sony and other competitors. 2 negative points: Battery runs out real fast. Click to picture taking there's about half a second delay. Not good for sports or jumping kitten pics.

Summary: The best point-and-shoot camera
Review: You can not find any better point-and-shoot cameras than this:
- Affordable price
- 2 megapix which is more than enough for printing, and the photo quality is really good.
- superb features including 3X zooming and PCCAM
- One more great thing is that use can even use ALKALINE battery when your Ni-Mh battery runs out(at that mode you can not use the LCD screen, but you can still take photo).

Summary: Small and easy to use
Review: This camera got badmouthed on Cnet for allegedly having a really weak flash. However, the one I got had a blinding flash and was awesome for low light picture taking. The only problem is that I keep accidentally sliding the slide the covers the lens while I take photos, and that knocks the lens back into the camera body.

The desktop software is pretty average and the camera gets pretty good battery life. Buy a 128mb card with this camera and you've got yourself a very good camera.

Summary: Not as Good as...
Review: I am disappointed. I purchased the 2400 and got the greatest picture quality, indoors and out. Gave it away and purchased the 2600. Photo quality is poor. It accidently turns on, I wish the smart card was placed somewhere else and not with the battery, the battery life is not that long. Only good feature is it's size. Neat and compact. Wish I was able to purchase the 2nd 2400.

Summary: One Great Camera
Review: The Fuji 2600 is our first digital camera and it is everything that we expected. We are casual users but really enjoy all the great features that are included in this camera. Right out of the box we were taking beautiful pictures - indoors and out and we are having a blast with this thing. Battery life is more than we expected and the picture quality is first rate. Great camera at an excellant price. If you are looking for your first digital camera or a very good digital camera for everyday and vacation use, the Fuji 2600 is hard to beat - and the price is outstanding.

Summary: Good Camera but Problem with USB Driver on CD Software
Review: Be sure to call Fuji tech support and have them walk you through the paces in order to properly install the software. They hid a file that they shouldn't have and its fairly easy to fix. Why they don't have the fix on their website is a mystery.

Summary: Spots
Review: Like camera, physically.
Some of the photos have spots on them.
Amazon.com sent a replacement within 2 weeks.
Same problem, but not as many.
Spoke to Fuji tech.
Told me that sometimes they get a bad batch.

When photos don't have spots, quality is great.
Was able to print out some nice 5 x7's

But you never know when the spots come up until you download the photos.

Had same problem with an old Fuji MX 1200 years ago.

Summary: A great camera for a great price
Review: I had been in the market for a digital camera for quite some time. I read reviews, and looked around at many different brands. I finally settled on the Fuji Fine Pix 2600 because of price. You get so much for so little, with this camera.

The camera came with rechargeable batteries, a charger, a 16mb card, a USB cable, and all the software to get you started. With the 16mb memory card you can store up to 20 photos at the best setting. Not bad, but I do intend to step up to at least 64mb.

I'm very impressed with the picture quality. Some out-door pictures I've taken are absolutely beautiful. Indoor shots look good too, but not with really low light. That's to be expected, as I've seen it with many other digital cameras. Also some people complain about the LCD on the camera being too dark I haven't found that to be the case. Mine looked fine, without having to make it brighter (in the options).

My only gripes are the lack of an LCD screen on the top, which tells battery life, and how many photos you have left. It's not a huge deal, but it is a nice convenience. . Other cameras have more features, but I don't know if you can find a better camera for the price. So far I'm more then happy with my purchase.

Summary: Fuji 2600 - A good Buy
Review: I was shopping for a 3 megapixel camera but after reading the specs on this unit and associated reviews, accepted the 2.1 megapixel in favor of a better lens system (and stay in my price range). Great camera takes excellent pictures, small and rugged. Limited to 2X, would prefer 3X. Lens cover has annoying habit of nudging closed while I am operating. Software is a little overdone. All-in-all a good buy, versital, convenient and good kick around camera for vacation use.
