Summary: A fun toy at a much lower price.
Review: ... this limited capability hybrid is an affordable toy. It blends the popular I-zone Polaroid instant camera with a *very* basic digital camera. Well, it does neither task well, and no one is going to come to love this thing once the initial cuteness wears off. As an I-zone, a fun little camera that prints instant postage stamp photos (from pretty expensive Polaroid-only film), it's no longer way overpriced, though the film will keep setting you back. As a digital camera, it's way underfeatured. It lacks a zoom, an expandable memory, a decent resolution (it's not good enough to print even 5 x 7s), and, most woefully, a USB connection to download the few pics the onboard memory can handle. You may think that's no big deal, but it makes getting those pics onto your computer a slow, painful and battery-consuming process. If you want an I-zone, buy one; if you want a basic digital camera, look at Amazon's great collection (or the ones I've reviewed). If you're looking for a bargain on Christmas gifts, this just might fit the bill!

Summary: This Camera is a Piece O' [Junk].
Review: As others here have mentioned, this camera is incompatible with pc that have scanners/peripherals attached. REAL GOOD!
So, I have to reconfigure the TWAIN driver every frickin' time I need to download from the camera.
I purchased this camera as a fun, basic digital camera. I'm no novice at photography, and wanted to get a basic, decent camera to start with.
Unfortunately, a decent product this is not.
The digital photos are grainy, and the lens/viewfinder is misaligned so that the picture target is always missed.
The instant mini photo feature seems to work adequately, though. I may keep this contraption just for that reason, but I swear- any trouble with the instant film option and I'm pitchin' this mofo right into the dumpster. I'm so fed up with it!!
Apparently you get what you pay for- I'm gettin' a Minolta Dimage 7 -a "real" digital camera. AAAUUUGH.
-One last note: I do agree that this would be a nifty toy for kids to play with. Just don't expect to use it yourself for high quality results!

Summary: I-Zone and ME - squelching the myth
Review: Contrary to the previous post about this camera and the software incompatibility with Windows ME, I had no problems installing, running, or downloading pictures to my ME based PC.

The concept of the camera is awesome but the quality seems to be so-so. You have to be really careful of the lighting or the pictures come out too bright or too dark. We also had to make sure that the subject was far enough away (3-4 feet as someone else pointed out) and that there was no movement when the picture was snapped or it would turn out blurry.

I like the camera and will probably use it for fun shots but will make sure to have a regular camera around for really important photos.

Summary: Way Over Priced!
Review: I bought one of these cameras brand new for [amt.] in Orlando at a store called Tuesday Morning around the 1st of September. I feel as though the price they are asking is way out of line! I do love the camera. It is easy to use and it does both digital and the little sticky films. I would not however spend [amt.] for it!

Summary: Pretty much what I expected
Review: I bought this camera because I got an incredibly good deal on it (...a rebate from Polaroid brought the price down to "why not?")

It has turned out to be a fun little camera, but don't expect much.

The camera is basically two cameras joined at the hip, which makes it very bulky. The instant mini-photos are fun, especially with the sticker film, but the picture quality is abysmal unless the lighting is very good (i.e. outdoors). It's almost impossible to get a good close-up shot unless you get right in someone's face, but I still like the concept, and it's very fun to use.

As for the digital camera, it's about as basic as you can get (No zoom, no memory card, no USB) The picture quality is decent for e-mail use, but I haven't printed anything and wouldn't expect it to be very good. The colors come out true and fairly vivid for low resolution digital. One thing I like is that the camera responds instantly when you take the picture, so you don't miss the shot. The flash is a bit harsh on close-up shots (<3m), but works fine otherwise. The quality of the outdoor shots is much better than I expected.

The thing I like best about the camera is the software it came with. It comes with 3 applications: PhotoImpressions, for uploading and editing; PhotoMontage, for making those cool picture-mosaics you see on magazine covers; and PhotoFantasy, which lets you put your face onto the body of, say, a supermodel or basketball player, or even a knight.

If you want high quality photos, I'd buy something else. But, if you want a fun toy, and you can get a good deal, this isn't a bad way to go.

Summary: Beware rebate rip-off
Review: I bought this camera for my five year old daughter so that she could take pictures and I would not go broke on film development costs. The after-rebate cost ... seemed acceptable. However, three months after I purchased the camera, I still do not have the.. rebate check and my recent phone calls went unreturned. The check was supposed to be sent within six weeks. The rebate is imperative to this purchase because the camera is not functional for much more than use by little children and is not worth the pre-rebate price.

Summary: Great for a kids toy, but images not clear enough
Review: I bought this camera just before I was about to resort to 35mm disposables. I list many auctions on ebay and had just dropped my camcorder on the floor (now no image), so as I was about to buy the disposable camera I bought this camera. It works well, it takes about 3 seconds per picture to download to your computer, easy to use, BUT i just could not live with the image quality. They are not bad for a less expensive digital camera, and are good for taking pics of friends and family, but its like looking at TV or camcorder with static in the picture, just not clear. It does much better outside with far away objects like a house. Id say it would be good for a kid to use with the instant picture feature. I could not get any good closeups with the digital part. Things such as a white laptop came out looking no different from the wall behind it. I do like the auto flash feature which automaticly enables the flash or disables the flash if you are outside. I dont think it actually captures pics in 640x480. I beleve it uses internal software to "blow up" the pictures to that porportion, which leads to a grainy, streched looking picture. I never used the instant print side of it. In fact, after I could not get any clear pictures out of it, I packaged it up and got a refund the same day. I guess ill just have to lay down the money for a better model.

Summary: i-zone is OK--the digital function is [bad] in the extreme
Review: I bought this for my high school daughter to use as a "fun" camera for the most part--she & her friends love this i-zone concept. My thought was this would also provide the digital capabilities she needs for some of her group school projects in a package inexpensive enough that if it were damaged or stolen it wouldn't be that bi a deal.

The i-zone functions work as well as those of stand alone i-zone cameras her friends have. The problem is that the digital functions are so [bad] that they are essentially useless.

The problems: The camera is just about impossible to focus. The viewfinder is apparently off kilter and you never seem to get the right segment subject matter you wanted to photograph. The resolution is horrible--even relatively small prints are out of focus and distorted...
