Rating: Summary: Sony DSC-770 Review: Our family has owned a Sony DSC-770 for about three months now and We love it. Every member in the family can take pictures with and have great looking pictures. I also own a SLR camera but the features and manual capabilities of the DSC-770 has clearly made me a believer that this digital camera is far more superior for both the beginner and expert photographer.
Rating: Summary: Like most good things, misjudged by many Review: People have the wrong idea that just because a camera doesn't have 3+ megapixels, it means that it is no good. Unless you are a professional photographer, 1-2 megapixels is just fine. This camera is a great camera with great features that allow you to really fine-tune your pictures. The quality of a picture is not determined by the number of megapixels, but by the attention to details such as focus, lighting, sharpness, etc. This camera is a great camera for people who are not professionals, but want to learn the art of photography. With so many options and manual functions, one can really learn how a camera works and what works best in different situations. For a great digital SLR at such a great price, people should not be fretting over megapixels. This is a wonderful camera and a wonderful learning tool.
Rating: Summary: It Doesn't Add Up Review: Since when does 1344 x 1024 translate to 3 megapixels? I don't own it, but I would have purchased it if it would have been a 3 megapixel camera. Since it isn't, I'm sure it's a good 1.3+ megapixel camera.
Rating: Summary: Sony Camera's not the best in low light Review: Sony may have nailed down the digital Cam Corders, but their digital still cameras...need some serious work done with them. We produce contenct completly for the web and deal with several camera makes. Our advice buy anything other than a sony if you want to take pictures without a profesional light set. The quality is on the grainy side, and for the money you will be a lot better off with something in the Olympus or Kodak line ups.
Rating: Summary: Impossible to download images if you don't have a Sony PC Review: The camera is great. However, there is no way to download the pictures if your PC is not Sony Compatible. I spent 2 days with Sony and a couple calls to Gateway, but nothing got resolved. The MSAC-PR1 that came with the camera did not work with my computer. I have NT on it, and Sony said I had to update the bios, and gateway said I couldn't. Very Frustrating.
Rating: Summary: Windows Millennium Edition Review: This is a great camera but Sony does not offer any way to install the drivers software for this camera. The software that comes with the camera is only good for windows 95 98 and mybe 2000 systems
