Rating: Summary: Nice tiny and light little camera Review: A nice point and shoot camera about the same size as the popular Canon Elphs, I wanted a small inexpensive camera primarily for use at social functions like sporting events or at clubs and restaurants and it really does a great job. There is no optical zoom but I've had new Fuji's and Elphs both break due to their telescoping lens on power up, so you won't have to worry about that with the Sipix. No special batteries, just AA's available anywhere. The flash is bright and doesn't project very far, but just cover it up a bit for close-up shots at night. A very tiny light camera that fits easily in your pocket and I've been impressed with it's picture quality compared to cameras that cost twice as much.
Rating: Summary: My First Digital Camera Review: After extensive research and pricing online for digital cameras, I decided on the Sipix Extreme 2.1 Digital Camera. I found the operation to be fairly simple for a first timer. I will need to purchase the extra memory card, but until I get the camera and the software down, I will wait. Pictures are great once you get the camera set up for the lighting and learn how to use it. I was very impressed with its capabilities as it is a very small camera. The software bundled with the camera is also pretty good. Bought the camera to email pictures to my daughter in the Navy stationed in Bahrain. Happy to have this item and look forward to using the heck out of it.
Rating: Summary: StyleCam Extreme AKA FashionCam Review: Bought a so-called FashionCam (a re-labeled StyleCam Extreme) here in Denmark a few days ago for DKR 999 (incl. VAT) (equiv. to US$ 100). Plusses: It's small and easy to use and works as a USB disk under Linux too. Works well as a web cam too. (haven't tested that under Linux yet). It's cheap! Battery life seems to be good too. Minuses: Had it lock up once because I saved a JPG to it that it didn't understand. Cured the pbm. by removing the faulty file using USB. It does not have an optical viewer. The image quality is less than perfect: it tends to over-saturate light areas and images are "grainy", but what can you expect for $... The included software (PhotoImpression and VideoImpression) is worth the $... you pay for it. It plays a little tune when you turn it on and off which is annoying.

Rating: Summary: Pretty Good! Review: Great Camera: Pros: - Clear Pics - Nice & Compact - (once you get used to the controls) quality pics can be taken, except in the dark - Very portable - I carry this around in my pocket very easily.Cons - No zoom! I admit, my mistake that I did not read up on the differnce between a digital zoom & optical zoom. I wish I could just turn the digital zoom off. If you do 'digitally zoom', it really messes up the picture. - This doesn't have an eyehole, so you have to see everything through the LCD. Not too bad most of the time, but when its pretty dark, you can't see where the subject of your picture is easily - you have to take two pics - one to use the light from the flash to adjust your camera so that the 2nd one actually takes a picture of what you need. - There's a 'macro' mode - for really close up shots; but the button for this is on the side of the camera, and the camera switches easily to that (one accidental slide of a finger, and you've changed the camera to macro mode), causing all normal (non-close-up pictuers) to get very blurred. Ruined a few pictures of mine! :( Overall, I think I can really make good use of this camera if I'd have read the manual in detail before going and using this camera all the way. Very easy to get started though - just turn it on & start clicking! It has quite a few good features, for shots to take when its sunny, auto, etc.. - still have to use these totally though... I've not tested out the video conferencing, I'm guessing it shouldn't be a problem. Oh yes, I had ordered a few prints of pictures that I took from this camera, and they turned out great! :) Remember the (practical) no zoom.. - a decently priced camera, for all other usage.
Rating: Summary: Great Little Camera Review: I am more than satisfied with my Style Cam Extreme by Sipix. This is my first digital camera. I have seen other people's pictures from their digitals and my pics are as good or better than theirs. Most of the cameras that I have compared mine to, are a lot more expensive and more difficult to operate. My only surprise was the rate at which the batteries wear out. I would suggest the rechargable type of battery.
Rating: Summary: Good Bang for the Buck Review: I bought the camera mainly for email/web sharing of photos for which it seems more than adequate. Pros: * USB/PC connection makes downloading pics pretty fast. * Small and lightweight * Inexpensive * Resolution is decent for the price * Good menu/navigation system makes camera operation easy Cons: * No eyepiece to aim camera, so all shots must be framed in the LCD, which can be rather dark for low lighting situations * Battery life suffers due to the above * I occasionally lose the USB camera/drive when downloading pics (almost as if the camera goes on standbye). This may be operater error...and I never actually lose any pics. Overall, well worth the price.
Rating: Summary: Very Pleased Review: I took the camera to Zion National Park and Las Vegas, and am very pleased with the quality of the pictures. The LCD rather than a viewfinder takes a little getting used to. I did buy a memory card, and that works well. There are now extended use batteries made for digital cameras, which seemed to last longer than the regular batteries. Others who saw it liked it, and may be getting one.
Rating: Summary: GREAT CAMERA Review: It has a good battery life, very compact, very good pictures. Easy to use very good controls. They did a great job.
Rating: Summary: nice but a lot of disadvantages Review: It's a nice and handy camera, but it has several disadvantages. It works really great outdoors, makes great quality pictures and it is the only camera with 16 MB internal space. The camera also has a quick button to enter the menu and change several important settings right away. The disatvanges come when you try to take pictures inside. You can adjust the settings to different kinds of lights, but once it's dark your pictures are more likly to not be really good. The flash really sucks and since this camera works only with batteries it really sucks the juice out of them. But if you only wnat to tkae pictures outside and want to have a good camera for traveling, this is the one for you!
