Summary: Needs Atomic Power
Review: Comfortable camera to use. Was my first digital. One day shooting with LCD off, four Energizer e2 batteries went flat. Same the next day and the next day and the next day....... Recommendation against Lithium batteries by manufacturer.
Camera comes with separate ac power supply. Needs longer cord (about a mile) or a portable diesel genorator. Fortunately, the camera was stolen in Italy, and I guess the thieves have switched to battery merchandizers and are leaving the tourists alone. The only other problem was shooting; left index finger tends to partially cover len. I took some splended pictues of that finger
Currently I am looking at a Vivatar V3715 which only takes two batteries. That should cut my expenses by 50 percent! I guess one never learns.

Review: I bought this camera to take pictures on my first trip to Europe and I was very pleased with the quality of the pictures. It doesn't have the features of a $... camera, but unless you're planning on taking professional 8X10 photos, this camera will do the job great and quite nicely too. It does have the ability to turn the flash on/off and it does have 2X zooming, which is equivalent to 70mm zoom on a regular camera. It does use a lot batteries but so do all digital camera's, you're best bet is to buy Titatium batteries and they'll last twice as long. One of my favorite features is that I can view the pictures on my TV, using the video in/out cord. It's nice because you can give your family a nice little slide show with the camera through a VCR or TV. Overall, I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is interested in a good digital camera without the fancy features and high prices.

Review: I bought this camera, my first digital, with the rationale that it would pay for itself with pictures of items to sell on eBay. That may still happen, but, despite the low resolution, I find myself leaving the Nikons at home and using this for all my snapshots. It has all the minimal essential features, including the LCD display, flash and CompactFlash storage. When I upgraded to Windows XP the camera driver was no longer compatible so I bought a USB card reader ... . This has been much more convenient than uploading directly from the camera. I just plugged it in, XP recognized it and installed the driver almost immediately, and now it's like I have another hard drive whenever I plug it in. I just drag and drop the files, and delete them from the card. I'm sure there are better cameras out there but for the price this will be all I need for some time. It's easy to use and intuitive.

Review: Not a bad camera by any stretch. Does have a number of limitations, like eating the batteries rather quickly and being completely defenceless against humidity (and it looks like the flash can't be turned off manually, if it's dark it's going to go off), but it works, and it gives you nice pictures. Doesn't work nearly as well as professional cameras, but doesn't cost nearly as much either. So, if you just need something to shoot amateur pictures with, might as well get this one.

Summary: ViviCam 3500; A Perfect Family Cam
Review: People shopping for a camera to digitally photograph their family and friends should definately put the ViviCam 3500 into consideration. It's price is more than perfect! The only problems I have encountered are the lack of USB connect and the zoom quality. If you buy this camera, search in amazon.com for a CompactFlash Card Reader. You can get one for about $ amount. Also, zoom just blows up the picture and makes it blurry. But as for the basics of the camera, if you are wanting clear, nice quality, printable digipictures than buy the Vivitar ViviCam 3500 camera today!!

Review: Please note: the specs on the camera here show it as having a USB output. NOT TRUE ! Per tech support at Vivitar, this is an error in the camera instruction booklet & on Amazon.com product specifications. Only has serial output & no info available on the A/C adaptor also discussed in the instruction booklet. Why pay $$$$$for a digital camera with a high megapixel, but few other features & downloads by serial only??? There are more choices out there with better features for even less money....I'd advise anyone to shop around....Better is available!
