Summary: A Good Budget Player
Review: The player's memory is is largest downfall, at 16megs it is a little short. Also, compatibility was a real issue, if you are running XP drop the original software, anything else, use the software provided. In XP install as "USB mass storage device" and don't delete STA013.bin, this is the interface for the STA013 pm3 decoder chip. (It makes the player work.) Also don't delete the partition in XP. In 95 and 98 file transfer with the iterface is slow making it hard to do justice to the repeated programming. Vise versa for XP. The volume is a solvable issue, volume is actuallty determined by your headphone efficiecy, but at about 1mw the power is a little short, this is about 100db in normal headohones, loud but not enough to isolate outside noise. The hiss is due to the rather ugly 90db signal-to-noise-ratio this means that noise is only fully supressed at above 90db, this is a pretty crummy ratio resulting in lots of noise or hiss. The product, has stunning clarity, don't know the distortion but it isn't too bad. Use a bitrate of at absolute least 64kb/sec. The player will take VBR and rates above 200kb/sec.

Review: This Player is not as good as people say it is. First of all, my PC will not let me get the songs into my player. The Manual is missing directions and you can only download songs from 2 Websites. Over all i say this product is ok But could be way better.
