Summary: Buy this product
Review: It is a very good mp3 player a have had meany and think this is the best. And at less than half the price of a higher quality mp3 player it performes beutifully. Also another good thing is that it has a device on it that lets you change the bitrate so you can expand the amount of music you can put on it. Also it has a clip on the back of it so you can clip it to thigs. The only small problem is that it sucks up batteries.

Summary: A great mp3 player
Review: It isnt the very best player out there , but for the price it is amazing. After rebates it was a measly $6.44. Wow you cant get much better than that. The volume could go up a notch but for the price who cares. The memory is kinda small, but with money you save on the player, you can afford to upgrade it. It is definetly a great starter player.

Summary: ~HORRIBLE~!!!! Worst MP3 I've seen yet.....
Review: Lets not even get started people. In simple this is just an mp3 not meant for ANYONE over 7. It just has LOW quality sound and the volume is poor. Go with something a tiny bit more exspensive...trust me it may be more exspensive for you, but in time you will thank me.

Summary: Piece of Junk!
Review: The Jamp3 was given to me as a gift and I am overall very disappointed with its performance. From my observation all the previous posts highlighting its shortcomings are true. The following is a list of Jamp3 problems I found:

The musicmatch software for this device is very difficult to use and causes frequent computer crashes. I'm running windows ME although I don't know how it works with other operating systems.

Battery life is very short. A set of AA's won't last more then an hour. To get any practical use out of the device you'll need to modify it to accept an external power source. I run mine off a two D cell battery pack, which I purchased from radio shack.

Download speed is incredibly slow. It takes about as long to down your songs as it would to play them. You'll wind up spending half the battery life just downloading your selections. I added a 16 meg MMC card and it takes about twenty five minutes to load up with music. Oh by the way, while you're waiting to download just hope and pray your computer doesn't crash.

Music selection menu compresses all song titles in to six characters. How can you distinguish song titles and make a selection with only six characters?

Overall the Jamp3 does play MP3's as advertised, but it is has severe limitations and it is very inconvenient to use. If you're thinking about buying an MP3 player, I recommend spending a little more money for a better product.

Summary: Piece Of Junk!
Review: The Jamp3 was given to me as a gift. And I have found that it has the following problems:

-Software is difficult to use and very inefficient. It causes
the computer to crash quit often.

-Very Short Battery Life. With the two AA's you only get
about an hours use out of the thing. Not to mention that half
your battery life is spent down loading the music. I modified
my unit to work off a 2 D cell battery pack. This is the only
way to get any practical use out of the thing.

-Very Slow Down Loads. It takes about as much time to down
load each song as it would play. I added a 16 Meg MMC Card, and
it takes about twenty five minutes to load a half hours worth
Of music.

-Song Menu Contains Only Six Characters. It is difficult to make a selection when all the song titles in the download menu are compressed into six characters.

Over all I rate the JamP3 as an inferior product. Yes it does play MP3's, but it's not worth the inconveniences.

Summary: Great Value - However don't expect Gold performance
Review: The KB Gear JamP3 is in my opinion one of the best MP3 values out there. Inexpensive, easy to operate, relatively compact and comes with a belt clip! At ($$)... it has it share of short comings. 16Mb memory forces the use of a 32KB data rate to extend song player for 30 minutes or more. A 32/64MB module would be a good investment for what you save on the player. Sound quality is adequate, however the volume level does not extend high enough for complete city street noise isolation. One sticking point is the user software, although quite functional, the JAMP3 uses the MusicMatch Jukebox interface. This forces the user to jump through several hoops in order to complete song transfers to the player. In an e-mail conversation with KB Gear they apologized for this but indicated that they have no intention of changing the "ADWARE" user interface. All in all I would give the JAMP3 a 9 out of 10 for value and a 5 out 10 for functionality. If you want to enter the MP3 player market on a budget BUY THIS PLAYER!

Summary: No MMC support for Macs
Review: The only software included is PC. For Mac you have to download from the JamP3 website. The Mac software "currently doesn't support MMC cards". So if you only need 16m for your kids then fine. I think that it should say that on the box though, not wait till you get to the website. Plus the manual is all about the PC software with only a few lines about Macs having to download.

The sound is ok. There is a hiss that my Yepp doesn't have. I bought this JamP3 for my young kid who always wanted to play my ... Yepp. I got this JamP3 for ... at another place. So for ... it's worth it. Plus I like that the volume isn't crazy loud for my kid, it seems ok to me.
